Since revision 5781 there's a new option to donwload the images by set. I don't wanna download all 10k images again, so I was wondering if the card naming is similar to MWS. If so, what folder should the images be stored?

Don't worry, I haven't finished my server end of it...
Yes, you can use the standard MWS format. If you're using Linux or some Mac filesystems, there are a few filename issues - many of the cards with "of" in their name were incorrectly named with "Of".

I just did a quick test with the cardforge site operational.
If you do use the MWS HQ pics from the pictures forum, be aware that it may cause slow-downs and heap errors.

Thanks for the info Rob. I think I'll make a batch on all the pictures to reduce their quality

With 10k cards is that going to be too big of a hit on your server?

Set features are looking awesome, Rob! Wasn't there a dropbox idea circulating or was that dropped?

It's there, in the deck editor. Right under the Apply/Clear filter buttons.

I think Hellfish means
www.dropbox.com right? Seems like a practical way to share the images.

Yeah, I meant dropbox.com

Should prolly have been more specific.

first time I'm hearing of dropbox... but it just took over a couple minutes just to load the homepage.. not looking like I'd trust it.
I was also considering randomly choosing between cardforge.org and magiccards.info to help with the load. The hard part to deal with is the first download for a new user.
Will users have a choice?

I hate to mention refinements on a feature that isn't working yet but will you force people to download all of the card pictures for all of the sets? Or will the user have the option to download card pictures like now, only one picture per card?
I suggest the term "singleton" to mean "only one picture per card name".

It's not forced. If you have the HQ/LQ pictures and none of the set specific pictures it will just default down to the pic you have, just as it did before (without the check for set specific pictures).

You can stop the download at anytime, and it will pick up were it left off next time.
I was also thinking of making it only download one set's worth at a time, but I just wanted to get the basic functionality out there for this release.
I put all my LQ set images into some zip files, but due to the lower case "of" situations, and a couple of missing pictures, I need to update them. It's not much less bandwidth to download 4 archives than 10,000 individual files.
It's faster to load per-set images when launching new games or the deck editor, because the code checks for them first before trying other folder/filename schemes, including the original single-picture scheme.
There's likely a problem dealing with token downloads in this mode.
