Forge on Twitter

Hey guys,

I'm considering starting a Twitter account for @forgedev just for posting occasional developments and whatever else. Some users that don't usually interact might give feedback via that portal and I think it would be easier to let users know about 'maintenence builds' and other releases that don't follow the more established 2-3 week pattern.

I though I'd post here first to get general approval (or not) just in case anyone thinks its a bad idea for whatever reason. Maybe we'll be tagged in inconvenient places or make Forge too visible again? Just throwing the idea out there.

One other bonus I can think of is it gives us an extra point of contact should the servers go down (or get shut down somehow). Gives us somewhere to make contingency plans etc.

Decentralization is typically bad for team development. I have used the Internet since 93, but do not care for all this social media stuff. I am in the minority no doubt. BB have them all beat in my opinion.

 I'm also on BB, but there's a few things I follow on Twitter and find it useful. You make a good point with the decentralization, although I do plan to post feedback here so that things aren't lost out there.
