I wanted to check with everyone about the release date for 1.2.8.
June 1st may not give everyone enough time to finish their current projects.
I want to give Doublestrike enough time to finish the new UI for the deck editors. It would be nice to fix some of the most troublesome bugs before we release the next beat.

I suspect that the StaticAbilityCostChange and the AbilityWork branches might be merged into the trunk for the following 1.2.9 release.
The Restricted use mana project appears to be coming along nicely and will be a part of the upcoming 1.2.8 release.

Yea we're definitely not ready right now, there's a lot of issues the new Deck Editor created with the alternate forms of play (Quest, Draft, etc) that definitely need to be resolved.

Yep, I'll nail a bunch this weekend (have already killed a few). Now that I'm done with the core dev on the editor I can address bugs a lot faster.Chris H. wrote:I want to give Doublestrike enough time to finish the new UI for the deck editors. I don't think most of these bugs will take longer than a week to fix though.

We appreciate the bug fixes.

Do not push yourself too hard. If you need more time let us know and we can delay the release.

I have decided to delay the beta release at this time.
We currently have a bug which will cause a "null" crash report in the card shop if we click on item which would display one of the images that is found in the /res/pics_product/ folder.

I would like to thank Sol for fixing this card shop bug.
Should we go ahead and release this beta in a day or two or should we wait a little longer?

I think a release now would be good. Then hopefully for the following beta we can crank out M13, and Hellfish's ability work should be ready (and maybe the clone work and new cost change AFs).

Yeah, I think that we are ready for the 1.2.8 beta release. I would like to release sometime on the upcoming Wednesday through Friday time period.
I do want to give people a few days to add in a few last moment submissions.

Are there any mid/major bugs left going into this beta? Don't know if I'll be any help tracking down the causes, but you never know.

Corwin noticed a bug in the draft mode which is similar to the bug that we had in quest mode which Sol fixed this past weekend:

I tried to draft and received the error:

I performed a very quick test for Sealed mode and did not get this same error.
I will add a note to the changes.txt file stating that the draft mode is currently broken.

No, I'll take a look at the error tonight or tomorrow. If it's the same bug I just fixed it's literally just a null check.Chris H. wrote:I will add a note to the changes.txt file stating that the draft mode is currently broken.

I think that the draft mode crash report is more involved. The Start A New Draft button does not populate the table and instead leads to the null error report.

Yea looks like you're right. I'll see if I can squeeze an hour during the day to look at it, otherwise I'll give up on it for this release.Chris H. wrote:
