Oh! There's another case we should consider.
When a single creature blocks several attackers (consider pumped Palace Guard) are attackers arranged in the same way by blocker's controller, so that the first attacker has to be killed before damage can be assigned to the next one?
Upd: Read 510.1d... Looks like that kind of blocking will use the same rules as the ones applied to attacker blocked by several things.
