manalinkeh.dll on windows 98
by mrmacdude » 25 Nov 2009, 06:00
I understand that this bug has been identified already. If I still want to play, what are my options? I have a mac, running VMware/win98 ...
for example, are there old versions that will still work?
Does anyone know how to install a win95 virtual machine?
would xp virtual machine work?
Is this bug going to be fixed?

The only version I know of that works with Windows 98 is Mok's original Manalink 2.0 release. I don't think any of the later ones will work.
Doesn't Windows 95 install like the others? I'm almost positive I've done it. Maybe you have to use Win95b. That's the release I have and it comes on a self-boot install CD.
Yes! I use a Windows XP Virtual Machine all the time with MS VirtualPC.
Fixed? That'd be great, but I'm pretty sure that backwards-compatibility is rather far down on the list of priorities at the moment. Try installing a WinXP Virtual Machine, it's probably your best bet.
