64 bit systems - PLEASE HELP!!
by blotto » 16 Dec 2009, 14:25
Hello everyone,
I've been running the Magic game with the new upgrades and it's been fantastic. You guys have all done a wonderfull job getting this thing together.
I have a problem though now. I just upgraded my PC to a new 64 bit version of Windows XP. It has more horse power and can now run over 3GB of memory. BUT, I'm now having issues loading the Magic software to it. I have the original CD's and when I put them in it tells me it does not recognize the system. Has anyone else had this issue OR is there a patch for it? OR does the new down loadable version fix this?
Please Help! I want to keep playing the game but I don't know now if I still can.
Thanks

your original CDs are incompatible. use MOK's manalink as the starting point. you can follow instructions here:
http://www.slightlymagic.net/wiki/Installation
if for whatever reason, you want to use your original CDs, you can always create a virtual machine. microsoft has a free one you can download:
