Missing Challenge mode in Configure.txt

Postby LorenKeely » 14 Nov 2009, 09:45

I need help figuring out if I am doing it wrong or if I am not looking in the right place. In my Configure txt there is no place to activate challenge mode. I would appreciate help I have searched the web site and I have found nothing to help me with this. Thank you for your time.

If you are using the new background art, you don't need to activate Challenge mode from Config.txt. In the second duel option, "Gauntlet Mode", you will see a box that reads "Challenge Mode". Just click it and start a gauntlet.

i have a question about challenge mod as well.i dont have challenge mod in my config.txt either. i added this line to the bottom
// Enables challenge mod
ChallengeMode:1

is there a restriction about the challenges to be played? i mean i can play the tribal challenge (challenge set 1, ch 1) but when i open set 3 bloodbraid challenge, game starts with various decks which i know not from the challenge.

i'm wondering if we have to solve them in order?

edit: i've been trying for hours. re-installing again again but to no avail. when i first open magic.exe and if i try tribal challenge it works. if i try another challenge it doesnt work, just a normal gauntlet. and if i play something else, then try tribal challenge it doesnt work either. i cant understand what is going wrong and it's driving me crazy because i had played challenges at work without any problems :S

i spent hours trying to fix the graphical issues and now this. for a long time i had no writing in the deck editor. all the pictures and buttons stuff but no words. not in stats or right click menu etc. i kinda fixed it thanks to the faq. but this challenge problem i couldnt find a solution. thanks anyway

The challenges do not use the same decks you can partake in any challenge now even if you haven't beat a single one.

Quite a few challenges now have a random selection of decks per round. Challenge 1 I believe was always a straight selection of the same decks everytime.

hmm,but when i was able to play at work computer, the bloodbraid elf challenge always started with the same deck with death pit offering and stuff. thats why i'm saying challenges dont work now in my computer.

Death Pit Offering is from the 'Pit Fighting' challenge, not the BloodBraid challenge (which is Easy as 123)
