CSV / Cards.dat bugs report

Postby 0rion79 » 21 Apr 2009, 17:41

Link to latest updated version: http://www.savefile.com/files/2082961 (so you won't become nut looking for it each time)

Hello.

To keeps things in a better shape, please post here all mistakes that are NOT related to cards working. This includes:
- missing artworks
- wrong card text and/or flavor text
- rarity in sealed deck
- unexpected presence of cards in sealed deck
- wrong creature type
- misfunctioning filters. This means that you should warn if a creature with an ability (eg. flying) is NOT showing if the ability "flying" is active or if you see creatures without an ability that are still figuring even if filters are on (eg. Serra Angel is figuring among creatures that have rampage)

Thank you, with the blessing of monopoman :)

-Duress has numpics listed as 4, not 1.
-Several creatures are listed as Creature - Hound Legend instead of Legendary Creature - Hound (etc)

Hell, I'm Ok with isamaru being a Hound Legend, but not with Battlegrace angel being a human knight :P
regarding te numpics I will do a searcj for a few extra pics if I'm not working next week. I will change the relevant numbers in the csv.
Regarding duress, I've already placed the 7th edition art, but maybe you guys dislike it. if you're Ok with that art duress numpic should be two, if it makes you throw up, let's set it to 1

Mathy, about arts I think it is a good idea to keep as main art the first printed art. Then, everybody can customize his/her directory.
Also, can you provide Unlimited birds of paradise, plains and forests art, please?

Ok, Savefile is working again so the link is: http://www.savefile.com/files/2082961

All reported CSV bugs have fixed until now, wild aeshtir is triggering with plains and not mountains, bouncelands are active, fixed those little art number and creature type mistakes, changed cards value. Hopefully, now AI should use a little more high-quality creatures and less oax as raging bull :D And should also use more disenchant, drawing cards and other anti-permanent cards as terror or sword to plowshares. Let's see how it will be-have... I have also increased value for multilands (originally at -50) and set bouncelands to 0, so that it should hopefully "sacrifice" lands with a lesser value.

Try and report, fellows :) The world is ours! :P

Did you update all the base values? I notice that almost all the 1800's are 0, which may or may not have been your intention.

No, not all. it was impossible to rank 1800 cards so I have left 0 for the most common cards and give better vaules to many that were often underrated (at least imho).
Also I've left "creature - X legend" FOR NOW because it is shorter than "legendary creature - X" and this may save up some space, since creature types often excede the card space for text.

Ok, that's fair. Maybe you can rank more in the future.
On to bugs... the effect text for the Exalted creatures isn't quite right. If any creature attacks alone they get the bonus, not just the exalted creature.

OK, I will fix to the next release. For now, tell me how the AI behave in selecting cards for sealed decks.

I'm back working on magic again. Are you planning on making any more csv changes right now?

No, thanks. Not at the moment. First I want to see how the AI will behave. Keep in touch by e-mail for this kind of issues. Ciao!

Ok, fixed until now (Jatill's 28th April Release). You find the download link to the first page of this thread.

Updates:

- fixed all errors reported until now
- as suggested by jatill, fixed effect text for "exalted"
- usual update for ability filters
- switched back from "creature - legend" to "legendary creature - (whatever)"
- checked arts.

NOTE if you use my "original arts restoration mod", manually select ONLY the Lim-Dul's High Guard portraits (one was missing) and move them to your folder. Else, move ALL of the arts inside of your CardArtNew folder, or you'll have missing portraits for forests, plains and birds of paradise.

IMPORTANT For a better sealed deck experience, I neet to know if the AI is creating better decks now that I have given much greater values to cards as terror, sword to plowshares, disenchant and so on.

This is just a csv update, right?

Yep, I have re-included your files just to prevent confusion with donwloads. It is also a minor art patch, but I have privately sent the needed files to you by e-mail.
