please help, newbie here

Hello,
I'm new here and I have a couple of questions I was hoping someone could help me with.

I downloaded and installed the Manalink 2.0. I did this from the installation page were they have the instructions. I also downloaded the added features that are on that page including the new cards feature (20090922).

My first question is: under this installation is a comment "make sure to extract the folder with Magic.exe in it, and not the stuff before that" What does this mean? I'm not a computer guru, does this not self install like the others? What do I do here exaclty?

My next question is: I've been reading that there are now what looks like 1000's of cards available. Even ones from the newer series. Like some of the Avatars, Sneak Attack, etc. Where are these cards located and how do I download them.

My first question might solve my second question if I installed it wrong. I did see some new cards when I run the 2.0 but not a 1000 cards. What do I do or how do I fix it?

Please help if you can.

Look for posts by a user named Salbei - in his sig there is a step-by-step installation guide / all the files you'll need.

check your private messages brian.

small step by step guide:

1.download+install the basic game (home of the underdogs version) - this one already has mok´s manalink2.0 in it afaik.
2.download the big picture file (~100mb) and the small picture file (~11mb).put all the pictures in ther in a folder named "CardArtNew" (note: NOT CardArtNew_).
3.Now move this folder to your game folder (like c:\magic) so the all the new pics are in the folder c:\magic\CardArtNew.
4.Download and unzip the latest patch (you did that).Now open the unzipped folder and go to 20090922\magic\zips\magic.
5.copy everything inside that folder to your game folder (c:\magic) - if it wants to overwrite existing files it is the right one.

When everything worked out you should have the latest cards and artwork for them.
Start the game and see if everything is alright.If there are any errors (missing fonts etc) please reboot and start the game again.
if it still won´t work for any reason please post what is missing (fonts/cards/artwork etc).
