Hidden Save Files

Postby zantan » 26 Apr 2010, 02:22

I installed 2.0 on my xp computer, then wanted to move my shandalar saves to my vista machine. I copied several sets of .fce .sve and .map files, and it worked fine on vista. Later I wanted to move them back, but when I was copying the files I realized that they had never been modified since I first copied them over.

I tried copying them anyway, and indeed they were the old saves. The oddest part is that if I run shandalar as an administrator on vista, it uses the old saves, but if I don't, it uses the new saves. Does anyone know what is going on here?

viewtopic.php?f=55&t=2633 (should explain your question about the safegames).

But i can´t help you with the shandalaar problem - literally no idea what is going on there or where the data is stored.

This is a known problem for Vista it's an admin right issue. You have to switch between admin/user to use new/old saves.
