Discard bug
by ALEX Ryugami » 05 Jul 2010, 08:34
Hey guys, I found a bug which is annoying. It's about even you have seven or less cards in hand, you have to discard a random number of cards, like 3, 2, or even more than 7! (In that case, it makes the game uncontinuable, the bug happened when I'm on Challenge Mode )
I'll give you the screenshoot when it happens again. Anyway, thanks in advance

Could you tell us which Challenge you were working on, if you played another mode/challenge before, what is your version of ML, what is your OS and if you have a screenshot and a savegame?

Certain specific cards cause that problem. (or an alternate problem where it lets you keep extra cards in hand) I don't remember all which ones anymore, and some of them have been fixed as it gets caught. See if you can figure out which card in the deck it is. It'll probably be something that draws and/or discards cards, usually in a strange way. For instance, I know activating Genesis used to cause this sort of problem

By Huggy thread you mean "Microprose Magic the Gathering 2010 Custom Installer ISO "?
Or is your version from the wiki?

I see why that happens now.aww1979 wrote:Certain specific cards cause that problem. The cards I use at one time was Goblin Ringleader, and at another game was Timetwister , but it was weird since Timetwister already was an existed card in the original version of the game.
Yep, I got it from "Microprose Magic the Gathering 2010 Custom Installer ISO" threadstassy wrote:By Huggy thread you mean "Microprose Magic the Gathering 2010 Custom Installer ISO "?

Unfortunately the Microprose Magic the Gathering 2010 Custom Installer ISO is a standalone and should not be updated with latest update outside its own thread.
Either uninstall your current game and install properly the ISO but don't have access to Challenge mode and new cards, or follow the Manalink 2.0 install wiki and only the instructions in the wiki (or make separate folders for each version)
