The game version I'm currently using is Manalink 2.0 and the patch is 20100726 (the one with the 'All is Dust' card).
My current OS is Windows XP.
I finished the Tribal and Banned challenges for a few times already but the Cursed Scroll Card is still locked and after I finished the 10th round nothing happens.
I already checked the config.txt part and it seemed to be okay yet still the problem occurs.

Latest version is 20100811, try updating to check if it's still locked.

Same happend to me..... the mistakes I did was:
1- After the matches I wasnt waiting for the "Congratulations you unlockd the card CARDNAME" message, I was just closing the gaunlet after the 9, 10 or 11 rounds(deppends on the challenge), most times the unlock message pop up in the window in the begining of your upkeep of the first nonchallenge round of te gaunlet!
2- For the first reason too(mesage pop up in your upkeep of the first nonchallenge round in the gaunlet), you have to set the number of rounds of the gaunlet bigger than the number of rounds in the challenge, 12 is your lucky number if you dont know how mutch hounds every challenge have.
3- When you lose a challenge close the program and open it again, sometimes the challenge doesnt load twice in the same section and I think that even Jatill dont know why that happens(or if he knows maybe its to hard to fix it)!

Bro, i think gabe's suggestion of closing the game before starting a new gauntlet might work. Have you tried that already?
Also, how many matches did you set your gauntlet to? You have to set it at 11 or higher as gabe suggested.
