I hear people playing again matches because the game froze,so they may not know that if they end the game using task manager or maybe differently, they can go use the autosave ,which in most cases lets them continue the same game from the moment it froze,or the beginning of the turn it froze.Of course sometimes it keeps freezing...Although I managed to continue a game that froze the first 2times.

You lucky, for me most of the time freezing occur when the game is cluttered with permanents and the AI would loop again at his turn. =/

How does autosave work? I've never used that before- is it a mode in M2.0 or a part of windows?

Manalink always autosaves your game on a turn-by-turn basis, you don't have to turn it on (and can't turn it off). Anytime the game crashes (or the power goes down, etc.) just reload Manalink and click the Load Match/Gauntlet/Tournament button on the lower-right of the screen. The autosave file is called, simply enough, "AUTOSAVE.E1M/.E1G/.E1T". I believe that Microprose MtG has always had this feature.

You may want to know that it doesn't work for challenge games,it continues the game but the next challenge game won't start,it will continue as you were playing Gauntlet.
