I'm new here and having some issues...

Postby Shalamar13 » 20 Dec 2010, 16:51

First of all I'm sorry if I put this in the wrong spot.
I just found this site yesterday and have been trying to figure out what I need to do to update my mtg: duels of the planeswalkers, and spells of the ancients to work with all this cool new stuff.

Here's my problem, I have the original discs for DOTP, and SOTA, but I couldn't actually install them on this computer (windows 7) so I managed to make it work by copying the files from another computer directly onto this one, and voila, the game runs. but I installed manalink 2.0, and then tried to add:
20091224.zip
cardartnew.zip
nocard_art.zip
cardartlim.zip

Now when I play one of two things happens.
Either I load and the cards show up but with all information missing (Ie: casting cost, name, text, etc...)or they show up and I play game, but the moment I win or lose... doesn't matter which one, the game crashes, giving a message saying that "manalink 2.00 alpha has stopped working"
and I'm just trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong, or what I'm missing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I appreciate the tip.
I went through it before, but I must have missed extracting something. This time I started over from scratch, and just went step by step off of the installation page and now it's working.
Thanks again.
