Ok this has been killing me. After trying to download the scv 161mb rar 100 times on 3 computer on 2 different internet connections using 4 different browsers I still cannot get it to download all the way. It stops after no more than 48.2MB and then when you open it 7zip says that the archive is broken and has an unexpected end. Is there another mirror other than http://www.salbei.spacequadrat.de/magic ... /Magic.rar or a non-rar version or any way around this? Or a torrent or something?

Hi, when I by accident noticed there is MtG (Manalink 2.0) available for WIN XP / WIN7 64bit I was fixed and tried to install and run it. But I failed in lots of tries.
I downloaded as you suggested in the first Quote on a WIN7 64-bit machine and on an WIN XP SP3 machine.
Download-extract-copy artwork-patch-create a new player
The program starts normal and I can run Shandalar (my personal favorite) but when I try to sell/edit cards in a village the program crashes, everything else seems to work. But without deckediting it doesn't make a lot of sense...
Any suggestions, help ?
Greetings from Dachs42 Germany

Couple things you have to do.
1.If you haven´t already apply the Compatibility Tool patch -> Tutorial + Links
2.Disable Visual Themes
->
Create a shortcut to your magic.exe (c:\Magic\magic.exe). rightclick ->create shortcut->desktop
Disable Visual Themes (rightclick the shortcut to magic ->properties->compatibility->check "deactivate visual themes".
Start the game with the shortcut on your desktop/anywhere.
3.Reboot

This may help:Adacc wrote:Is there any way possible to get this to run on vista? This is game was so cool back in the day. Its nostalgic just thinking about it!

1. Ensure you install and run the game using the 'Administrator' account.
2. Switch off the 'User Account Control' in Vista’s system settings before you run the game.

yeah I tried both of those suggestions. Neither worked. The problem is the installation is for an older system and will not install on a newer platform. I assume the only fix would be some sort of patch or modifying program.
Again, this confirmation thing is a pain in the butt!
