could have thought of that

edit: re-uploaded the editor to my webspace (link is in the signature).

dump the files direct into your magic folder(no subfolder) and start the editor.if you see any error messages there are files missing (shown within the error box),if not everything is fine.
mess around at will. save your work then run csv2dat to apply the changes to the magic.exe. and thats it.

PS:csv2dat.exe WILL BE RECOGNIZED AS A TROJAN HORSE - CAUSE TECHNICLY IT IS ONE!(it injects code from the manalinkcsv into the magic exe if i got that right.don´t blame anyone for it , this is how it is supposed to work.without that file you cannot apply your changes.)

----edit:

hi, for those who are running windows 7 like me and can't get the editor to work, i've found that running it on a virtual PC is the solution. you can download it for free here:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtua ... nload.aspx

installation and setup is pretty simple. just follow the instructions on the site. you should have 3 files:

[1] havdetectiontool.exe (this makes sure your PC is capable of virtualization) <1 MB
[2] Windows6.1-KB958559-x86.msu (windows virtual PC) ~11 MB
[3] WindowsXPMode_en-us.exe (windows XP mode) ~500 MB

note: this current version works only on windows 7 RTM. if you have the RC like me, this won't work, you will need to find the beta version which microsoft doesn't offer anymore and is quite hard to find actually. so if you need the beta, PM me for where to find it.

Is there any way to get this Editor. None of the links on the site seem to work and google didn't help either...

This editor is obsolete unless you are a programmer and you want to try to do some work to Shandalar which has not been developed almost at all, besides some new graphics.

I actually wanted to code some new cards and I read that this was a good tool to get a hand of how cards are programmed.

This is obsolete as I have said for what you want to do.We now edit Manalink.csv and ct_all.csv directly and the code for cards & functions is in src file in your main folder.I can't help you more unfortunately as I don't know more and I haven't made cards and there is not an updated guide on how to code cards.
