Alternative lands filter for latest jatill's release

Postby 0rion79 » 12 Apr 2009, 11:24

Ok, Savefile is working again so the link is: http://www.savefile.com/files/2082961
Hello, at this address you can find an alternative version of Jatill's latest mod that contains a "creative filter" for non-basic lands.
It will be updated whenver Jatill releases a new version of his great cards addition.

Latest update in date: 22 April 2009

You're going to drive yourself nuts trying to keep this up-to-date. I made about 20 csv changes today. Sounds like you need a script that will convert one file into the other.

If you're asking me, I list all the cards I'm updating in the bugfix thread. Usually it's not text changed, but enabling / disabling, etc.

Don't worry, pal. It is very easy because I have to change only 1 column and I will always use your latest release as base, without changing anything else. So go ahead with your mod without worrying about me: people that will feel the need of grouping lands together will find in this alternative file a good solution as long as we find a way to introduce new sets, as Mok did with 8th edition.

April 21th 2009
Updated CSV file and magic.exe (Wild Aeshtir does activate with plains and not mountains).

Bouncelands are ACTIVE. If it is giving you any trouble, you can find previous version in the folder "Previous version (bouncelands not active)"

Alternative land filter is the default file. If you don't like it, use the ones inside the folder "NO lands filter CSV"

The bouncelands should not be disabled. They work for sealed, now. I'm not sure what BW is seeing, but I've played sealeds, and the opponent has used the bouncelands without an issue.

So they are not acting as they did before with the AI just constantly casting them and having it bounce right back into it's hand, as well as discarding normal lands when it got to eight cards because it kept trying to cast one of the bounce lands?

I will try it and see if it has in fact changed because before, it was simply ruining sealed deck play. You disabled them if you remeber so i just thought that they were turned back on by mistake.

I will test them and post my comments after.

Look, you are causing me deep headache. I'm sure that Jatill knows what he's claming, so is it possible that you, BW, are using an older version?
Anyway, the "definitive" link is here: https://0oxuka.blu.livefilestore.com/y1 ... r?download
(I'm using my personal MSN space because this forum tells that I have no longer space for uploads even if I have currently no files attached and savefile.com is till off)

It contains another folder with bouncelands disabled, for the rest (except the wild aesthir) there are no changes than Jatill's latest releases.

I'm not asking you to do anything!

So i don't know why you are getting a headache, but I'm getting a migrane dealing with this!

My original post was directed at jatill because he had disabled the bounce lands before because of the problem I wrote above! It was at my request that he disabled them in the first place! He agreed at the time that they were a problem!

I was not aware that he has fixed them. So now, I am using his latest release and I am testing it to see if they work properly!

Again, I am not asking you to do anything now as I have heard from jatill!! So there is no need for you to do anything on my account, ok!?!

yes, yes :) I was just joking, don't worry!
Sometimes I forget that humor is not international... something that is granted for me may not be for somebody else.
So, just tell me if you find anything so I will make another definitive version.
