Worldwake Top 10 list

Postby jatill » 28 Jan 2010, 13:02

The entire set of Worldwake has been spoiled, and prereleases are this weekend. Which cards are you most excited about? Pick your 10 favorite cards and post them here. I'll code the 20 most popular cards. Voting ends on February 8th.

Spoiler:
http://mtgsalvation.com/worldwake-spoiler.html#3947

Note: there is another thread 'Worldwake Wishlist'. Use that too for discussion, but only post 10 cards here, without commentary please :)
And no cheating by saying things like 'manlands. 10 cards means 10 cards.

1. Jace the Mind-Sculptor
2. - 6. Manland Duals
7. Urge to Feed (To keep the Vampire deck complete)
8. Kalastria Highborn (See above)
9. Kor Firewalker
10. Slavering Nulls

Oh, and Loam Lion, but that is just a colorshifted Kird Ape, so i don't really think it has to be "coded". Same with Leatherback Baloth ;)

Here is in my opinion the top 10 of the set.

1.) Bestial Menace
2.) Abyssal Persecutor
3.) Admonition Angel
4.) Arbor Elf
5.) 6 manlands
6.) Halimar Depths
7.) Treasure Hunt
8.) Jace, The Mind Sculptor
10.) Kazuul, Tyrant of Cliffs
11.) Lodestone Golem
12.) Loam Lion
13.) Chain Reaction
14.) Searing Blaze
15.) Slavering Nulls
16.) Wolfbriar Elemental

I know this is more then 10 cards I'm just listing the more interesting and playable cards for the set. The ones I care about most are near the top.

Also just to point out Kor Firewalker is pretty much a SB card and this game doesn't allow Sb's  .

Better get your list down to 10 cards or it'll be ignored...

I still have the tallied votes, but it isn't in a nice list like before. Basically, anything that got more than one vote was in the top 20 or tied for it.

Death's Shadow 5
Loam Lion 3
Kor Firewalker 5
Joraga Wildcaller 2
Jace, the Mind Sculptor 9
Lodestone Golem 3
Thada Adel, Inquisitor 2
Wrexial, the Risen Deep 2
Stirring Wildwood 5
Jwari Shapeshifter 2
Halimar Depths 2
Aether Tradewinds 1
Treasure Hunt 2
Vapor Snare 1
Wolfbriar Elemental 2
Nature's Claim 1
Groundswell 2
Walking Atlas 1
Everflowing Chalice 2
Novablast Wurm 3
Chain Reaction 1
Abyssal Persecutor 2
Dragonmaster Outcast 3
Kalastria Highborn 3
Bloodhusk Ritualist 2
Omnath, Locus of Mana 2
Celestial Collonade 5
Creeping Tar Pits 5
Dread Statuary 1
Lavaclaw Reaches 4
Raging Ravine 5
Urge to Feed 2
Slavering Nulls 2
Terra Eternal 1
Bestial Menace 2
Join the Ranks 1
Spell Contortion 1
Searing Blaze 1
Hada Freeblade 1
Halimar Excavator 1

hehehe edit: my Posts: 666
edit again: Seems that all posts in the last 4 days were wiped, so if the numbers above do not agree with this thread, it is because any votes in the last 4 days are gone, though they are included in my numbers above. (fortunately, I hadn't closed the excel window with that :p)

You included Jace twice :p I know you meant to pick Wrexial or Thada Adel :) :) :) (the two on my top ten not included in your 19)

Looks like a good collection, though. I'd probably use all of those at some point, except Everflowing Chalice. I still can't think of anything really useful to do with that :p
