Format filters for Deck Builder ?
by Gargaroz » 16 Jan 2012, 02:12
Since now we have that beautiful expansion filter thanks to mok, I think we should re-think some of the buttons in the Deck Builder to function like filters for the various formats.
So, let's say, we could have Astral = Standard, Dark = Extended, Arabian Nights = Modern and so on. Obviously, this will work only for non-reprinted cards.
And all this will require only some work on the CSV and no coding at all.

actually i was thinking just that but my idea was to make all of the 4th edition area rename that core edition and have all the core editions in there. then we have astral, dark, legends, arab, antiq we could use a filter system much like new system on all of the set buttons..to make it more easy for newbies

The problem about 4th Edition are those ugly white borders, but I think that's easy to mod.
However, I was thinking about modifing the graphic skin of that buttons, so we'll have one for Standard, one for Extended and so on.

nah i wasent thinking bout that. just really my idea in my head was to have a filter expansion just like what Mok did on the others on all the set icons. i just thought that we could make the game look for core set out of the 4th edition set button much like it does when you can change for unlimited, revised, and 4th.
Edit: Now with the source Mok has provided maybe we can understand this deckdll now. i see there is at least in the program a possibility of 3 more buttons 2 others and an artist.
