Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted for a couple of days. Been catching up with old friends that I hadn't seen in ages :D Anywho....

@thedrigo: Yeah, that deck is pretty similar to the one I have, with a couple of pieces of tech I hadn't thought of (Windfall and Storm Seeker!). I think the main trouble I'm having with the deck is balancing the need for getting out the Bloom ASAP and having enough cards to 'Go Off' on the same turn. Unless, of course, you can get Bargain out too. I think maybe going up to a full set of Grim Tutor to go fetch Bargain might be a good idea?

The other issue is producing blue mana if you're trying to go off the same turn you play Bloom... I'm trying using Manamorphose...

@jackthelad: I think the only Flash/Hulk kill available is the Ravager/Disciple/Ornithopter one, AFAIK.. I'm still not a fan of that version, because too many slots are taken up with your kill condition, as opposed to the Kiki version. But I really should still make a version for Manalink :) I'll work on it.

To tide you over, here are 20 more decks from my collection. I have more, but I'm still working on a few of them. Most of these are Vintage decks, but a few are Legacy legal instead, generally depending on the importance of Brainstorm on the deck

I downloaded somacat´s decks and tested a few of them and they are a lot of fun to play and gave me a lot of ideas for future decks. I just wanted to say thank you ;).

Hey Soma, I've been thinking about another way of using Cadaverous Bloom, since it's boring to have it lying around to use it exclusively in ProsBloom. I figured that, since it makes green mana, I'd use it for another archetype deck: Tooth and Nail. Dropping it on turn one or two will net you the game, easy. As for the card drawing Harmonize and Night's Whisper will get you the fuel you need to feed the Bloom. Fetching Magister Sphinx and Progenitus with Tooth and Nail on turn 2 or 3 is pretty f#%&ing scary.

Here's the list, any suggestions would be appreciated:

4 Ancient Tomb
4 Bayou
3 Overgrown Tomb
4 Polluted Delta
3 Wooded Foothills
1 Tolarian Academy

1 Yawgmoth's Bargain
1 Demonic Tutor
4 Duress
4 Night's Whisper
4 Dark Ritual
1 Fastbond
3 Concordant Crossroads
4 Tooth and Nail
4 Harmonize
1 Channel
1 Magister Sphinx
1 Progenitus
4 Cadaverous Bloom
1 Lotus Petal
1 Mana Crypt
1 Mana Vault
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Jet
1 Black Lotus
1 Grim Monolith
1 Platinum Angel

Try it and let me know!

That's a pretty good idea - it looks alot less clunky than what you can do with ProsBloom currently. It also looks like alot more fun (activating Bloom 11+ times can be pretty annoying...). I'll have to try it! We *really* need Kiki-Jiki in this game though!

So, any new decks with the new cards available? Im sure somacat has cooked up a few! I'm especially interested in decks using goblin welder, psychatog and quirion dryad (basically the only three cards I recognise lol).

.1895 4 Goblin Welder

.390 4 Crop Rotation
.333 1 Vampiric Tutor

.403 4 City of Brass
.870 4 Gem Bazaar
.510 4 Mishra's Workshop
.528 1 Strip Mine
.317 1 Tolarian Academy
.1728 4 Wasteland
.1703 3 Thorn of Amethyst
I don't like Gem Bazaar but I needed something that didn't kill me and gave me any kind of mana (didn't want to take chances with reflecting pool as it stop you till you get city), best would be Gemstone Mine, but it's not available.

The main combo is Smokestack + Goblin Welder, you can destory your opponents mana base with Wasteland/Strip Mine + Crucible of Worlds, cripple your opponent with any of the increasers of cost. There's also Tinker + Inkwell to finish your opponent.

.1 1 Ancestral Recall
.1706 1 Master of Etherium
.287 2 Winter Orb
.1308 1 Platinum Angel
.1887 4 Chalice of the Void
Chalice of the void isn't working yet, but it'll get that spot when it does. in the meantime, I replace it with amethyst. also, the volcanic islands are replacing gemstone mine (obviously weaker because of the titan).~master of etherium replaces karn, and the orbs, 2nd trisk and jar replace the tangle wires. that's my UR stax list.

totally forgot gorilla shaman. I could probably take out the memory jar (not that useful) and get one shaman in. usually it goes in the sideboard.

I might get In the Eye of Chaos in. I used to run it alongside Nether Void to lock the opponent in and just win with welder/bazaar. I do need to add bounce, 'cause leyline of the void completely shuts welder down. and graveyard hate if needed.

what do you guys think about it? I've been very successful with this list, but would the black splash for tutors help?

I've been wanting to build something that can use Accumulated Knowledge, and I've been wanting to build something that can use Jotun Grunt, so I came up with this. It's pretty fun to play, and stands up well. I guess this would be a fish deck.

Vexing Grunt

1 Black Lotus
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Mox Pearl

1 Ancestral Recall
1 Balance
4 Accumulated Knowledge
2 Compulsive Research
4 Swords to Plowshares
2 Armageddon
4 Remand

4 Jotun Grunt
4 Vexing Sphinx
4 Savannah Lions
4 Kor Skyfisher
4 Mulldrifter
1 Isamaru

4 Tundra
4 Hallowed Fountain
4 Flooded Strand
3 Island
3 Plains

It's a fun archetype to tinker with- a bit different from the more common vintage decks and has an 'old magic' feel to it. Little nibbling tempo decks have always been my favorite since I started playing back in Revised.

I made 4 I'm quite proud of...and a lot that would embarrass me to show. However, A Poison Deck(needs new name), Guillotine of Unlife, Band of the Hand, and Brainnnnssss all work well. Brainnsss is more fun than effective to play. Guillotine is almost unbeatable by the AI. Poison requires an iron nerve and persistance and Band of the Hand requires only patience.

Guillotine works on an assassin/kill level. It has the moxy(yep, a pun) to finish a game early and the staying power to hang in there and overcome. Force tap, kill, earn life and counters.

Yipes...7 Zip not allowed...ok, slight adjustment
