I haven't had luck with either yet. I usually get 4-6 games in. Stupid challenge mode, it's all luckreng0r0 wrote:That's almost exactly the deck I started with, but found it kinda awkward. I switched to a trix deck and flew through the challenge.

I also tried the Lich Challenge first. Sadly, Mirror Universe (for style) doesn't work with the way Lich is coded. So I used Trix (which supprisingly no one seemed to have tried yet). Only difficult matchup is Burn on the draw, where you have to have Force or loose.
The list is not really optimized, but it worked...

Hmm, I didn't think Trix would be fast enough for most of the challenges, especially this one. I suppose the one handy thing is once you play Illusions, you draw 20 cards off Lich, so you don't have to worry about having more donates than the 2 you included :p
And yeah, Mirror Universe doesn't work with Lich. I tried that way back in the day. I can't remember if Mirror Universe was in shandalar or not, but I know I tried that combo and it swaps whatever your life total was pre-Lich with the AI.

Kind of confused on how to beat the ABC Challenge and Lifes a Lich...
I am trying to play Dredge but the game crashes whenever i play it...
Any Other Deck lists to beat some challenges with like ABC's and Lifes a Lich...
I have beaten
Easy as 1,2,3
March of Machines #1
Thats Big
What Hand
Enchanted Evening
Master Warlock
I have beaten quite a few challenges..But I am mostly having issues on how to Play these decks...
I am noticing a pattern of people using unlocked cards in all decks...But please post some decks and strategies on how to use them for the following #4 CHallenges..
Lifes a Lich
ABC's
Cascade
Chaos Orb
Challenge Challenge
I still have issues with Challenges #1-#4

It may surprise some people that I actually don't use the unlocked cards until I beat the challenges myself. So finally, I have unlocked my last challenge (challenge challenge). Some people used Trix, some used Cascade. I didn't have luck with either, until I realized that with 24 dual lands I could play both at once

Challenge #4 (spoilers) EDH and Progammers Delight
by aww1979 » 16 Feb 2010, 21:19
EDH: (decks are random from usual challenge decks it seems)
Round 1: Emerald Dragonfly
Round 2: Dragon's Claw
Round 3: Dragonmaster Outcast
Round 4: Rukh Egg
Round 5: Dragon Engine
Round 6: Dragon Whelp
Round 7: Hunted Dragon (you get the 3x knights
)
Round 8: Shivan Dragon
Round 9: All five elder dragon legends. Why? I don't know...
There is only nine rounds, not 10; after the 9th one EDH is unlocked.

programmer's delight is very odd. some combinations are deemed acceptable (flying and first strike, flying and protection) while others are not (protection and first strike). oh well, the $2 white weenie deck comes to the rescue (aka the most boring deck in the world).
16 Plains
4 Elite Vanguard
4 Glory Seeker
4 Leonin Skyhunter
4 Pikemen
4 Savannah Lions
4 Suntail Hawk
4 Thermal Glider
4 Nightwing Glider
4 Thunder Spirit
4 Mesa Pegasus
4 Benalish Hero
seeing as the AI is so scared of first strike creatures I really would have liked White Knight, Silver Knight, et al. luckily we have Thunder Spirit and banding, which scares the AI just as pantless.
mulligan till you see two plains unless you have a handfull of 1cc creatures in hand, hope that slivers and soldiers don't get the nut draw, turn creatures sideways, trade aggressively.
if pressured sit behind your first strikers and banding dudes till you get an opening. pray if it helps.

Hm, I didn't think protection would work in this challenge, didn't even try it... would've made things easier. Not that the challenge is particularly hard.
Finished Delight yesterday, haven't tried EDH yet. My deck was something along the lines of...
4 Fusion Elemental
4 Woolly Thoctar
52 cards I didn't like as much

Hehe. Yeah, I haven't tried Programmer's Delight, yet; something was wrong on my copy and forest was banned :p I've also been trying to use 'fair' decks for the EDH one, but rounds 7 and 8 are really hard unless you get removal in your opening hand, so I'm going to be a little more cheap today :p For programmer's delight, I'd do monogreen, just because green has the cheapest creatures, though the white weenie looks like a pretty good idea, too.

I did G/W plus Woolly Thoctar. I was surprised how easy the challenge was; at least until the surprise in the last round.
Speaking of which, my goal for the last round of the EDH challenge is to give you a heart attack

This deck is ridiculously boring. Despite winning on about the third attempt, it still took me several hours, because it is so painfully slow. Basically, the deck is chock full of removal, and relies on Time Vault combo, DSC, or Platinum Angel to win.
Be sure to keep track of what round you are on, because you will probably need to mulligan into cheap removal on rounds 7 and 8. You do not want to be facing one of those dragons without a Path to Exile or something in hand.
Other decks I tried were: Slivers (just for fun :p), and a 5 colour weenie with a mana curve somewhere around 1.1, but they usually got pwned by the Hunted or Shivan dragon, if not before. I never seemed to get my removal, hehe.

Hmm, went to do programmer's delight, and for some reason it works now :p No idea why it was banning every deck I tried before.

Any idea why Llanowar Knight doesn't work in PD, while Sabretooth Nishoba does? :p Tried a green weenie the first time, but I'm doing GW + gold crap now.
Urg, Paladin En-Vec doesn't work either.
