It should be locked, contain one post and only contain a rip of the game, the latest manalink files and any support files (card art?). This'll save a lot of headaches and confusion. In fact, we can bundle the files (minus the game rip, which never changes) together and call it something like 'Manalink total pack 1.0'. that way, we can have some more consistent naming. That, or we can mimic Ubuntu's naming system, i.e. year.month.revision, so this one would be say 2.95r1. I say 2.x to start with, because people might get confused as to why 1.95r1 is newer than 2.01.
Anybody like?
We had been working on an all in on CD distro for the game that would take it to a certain point in the update process, which then could be added to whenever new cards came out via "packs of cards". The idea was to make it an all in one download.
We have been testing it, but there has been nothing new on it for a while now. Also, until if & when the 2000 card limit is broken, all future additions of cards are obviously on hold for now.
Too much had been changed and added via bug fixes and new card additions over the last few months to make what your talking about work. Believe me, if you search the site, you'll see numerous threads of how Huggy and I called for a better ordered chain of command to regulate these changes, but it just didn't work out. Folks like us who aren't programmers can't do any more about that. It is what it is!
So, what we have, for now, is where it is. Not the best choice, but it will have to do for now. Hopefully, we'll see some movement on this over the Summer months.
Stay tuned...!
