.1197 4 Balefire Liege
.1933 4 Figure of Destiny
.1328 4 Lightning Helix
.675 3 Flame-Kin Zealot
.822 3 Ajani Vengeant
.809 2 Chandra Nalaar
.823 2 Elspeth, Knight-Errant
.718 1 Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker
.53 4 Kor Firewalker
.1928 4 Plated Geopede
.913 4 Steppe Lynx
.145 4 Lightning Bolt
.189 4 Plateau
.1632 4 Sacred Foundry
.984 4 Arid Mesa
.1473 2 Windswept Heath
.1474 2 Wooded Foothills
.164 4 Mountain
.188 1 Plains

I tried to cram several themes into this deck, and was expecting it to just be a fun casual deck, but it is doing very well, and takes a bit more skill than might be apparent at first glance. The themes are probably obvious, but the ones I intended were landfall, lifegain, and planeswalkers.

Early game: Usually Figure of Destiny and landfall dudes start kicking butt. If opponent survives that initial onslaught, a Flame-Kin Zealot with a couple dudes on the table comes next, followed by planeswalkers and Balefire Liege. I don't really know why Kiki-Jiki is here, but he works pretty good with Flamekin Zealot and Balefire Liege, one of which is usually out if you actually manage to get and cast Kiki.

.1474   1   Wooded Foothills
.806   1   The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale
.643   1   Academy Ruins
.873   4   Gargoyle Castle
.61   2   Raging Ravine
simply drop Manabond or Exploration , Gamble into Life from the Loam and keep dredging it.
remember that you can dredge when you could cycle (Tranquil Thicket).

i like the evlolution this deck gets through - every turn it feels like your getting ahead.

strength:
control decks , creature decks
weakness:
Blood Moon ,Leyline of the Void
Combo Decks

Falloutboys
Code: Select all
.1814   4   Wall of Reverence
.1948   3   Volcanic Fallout
.400   2   Starstorm
.53   4   Kor Firewalker
.1238   4   Silver Knight
.1825   4   Soltari Priest
.1267   4   Paladin en-Vec
.23   4   Chain Reaction
.1328   4   Lightning Helix
.189   4   Plateau
.164   5   Mountain
.188   6   Plains
.984   4   Arid Mesa
.1651   3   Boros Garrison
.1020   3   Yosei, the Morning Star
.1833   2   Sword of Fire and Ice
Simmilar to a deck i´ve posted earlier.
This is a creature based deck that plays a very defensive early game - setting up a chain reaction/starstorm to clear the path while your own creatures are protected from those board sweepers.Typical "midgame" strategy.

Boros Garrison allows to keep the landdrops coming.A card like this almost begs for a "Wasteland" , but if it happens it aint so bad. the mana curve starts at 2 , the average spell costs 3.

Wall of Reverence is kinda special in there . You will always be glad to see one. a wall like this means that after you wipe the board the opponent needs an additional creature to be able to hit you (usually has to be flying).very strong synergie with Volcanic Fallout / Chain Reaction.

Chain Reaction is just wacky - it acts like a one sided Wrath of God - even for the same ammount of mana!

strength:
creature decks / burn strategies
stable manabase - immune to Blood Moon
weakness:
Damnation / Wrath of God / fast Fatties (no stp/pte, feel free to add them)
combo / control decks

B.A. Zoo
Code: Select all
.912   4   Acidic Slime
.915   3   Mold Shambler
.1952   4   Avalanche Riders
.1689   4   Flametongue Kavu
.1916   4   Grim Lavamancer
.646   4   Bloodbraid Elf
.425   4   Punishing Fire
.241   4   Taiga
.1474   4   Wooded Foothills
.422   4   Grove of the Burnwillows
.91   3   Forest
.164   5   Mountain
.1733   4   Tarmogoyf
.1470   4   Sakura-Tribe Elder
.596   3   Rishadan Port
.1896   2   Gorilla Shaman
Mid-Lategame strategy designed for Board Advantage (B.A.). Pretty much plays like a very interactive control deck withtout countermagic, except that your spells are played active (instead of re-active -> wait for your opponent to cast to answer the thread)
Lots of Land/Permanent destruction as creatures comes into play effect - even if the opponents handles the creature after it has been played , the damage already has been done.Rinse and repeat untill your opponent is unable to recover.
The recuring Punishing Fire / Grim Lavamancer will keep you save against most creatures - just going to get stronger the longer the game goes.watch out for early Baneslayer Angels though.
Rishadan Port / Gorilla Shaman serve as early disruption and finally lock out the opponent later from doing anything at all.

strength:
creature/control decks
weakness:
fast combo decks

Meddling Therapy
Code: Select all
.1921   4   Meddling Mage
.666   4   Cabal Therapy
.1945   4   Tidehollow Sculler
.478   3   Jotun Grunt
.1828   4   Looter il-Kor
.1907   3   Thoughtseize
.216   4   Scrubland
.254   4   Tundra
.258   4   Underground Sea
.1487   4   Polluted Delta
.1723   4   Dark Confidant
.188   1   Plains
.126   1   Island
.239   1   Swamp
.1488   3   Flooded Strand
.588   4   Path to Exile
.754   4   Momentary Blink
.1935   4   Kitchen Finks
The Deck is all about disruption. Was designed to beat combo decks and does surprisingly well against other decks too.
Was toying around with Momentary Blink (you can untap an attacker that will die after blocking with it,prevent a blocker from dying ,remove the persist counters on finks and gain additional life or just rename another card with Meddling Mage / Tidehollow Sculler.
Cabal Therapy is also very nice in this one since you almost never have to shoot it blind (lots of information due to Thoughseize / Tidehollow Sculler).
The looters role is to get through your deck faster while dealing a bit damage and to feed the grunt.
Could fit in Wastelands there if you feel like you need em for a well-rounded deck.
Definatly fun to play.

strength:
control decks / combo decks
weakness:
creature decks

Kiki-Sicky
Code: Select all
.718   4   Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker
.1099   4   Imperial Recruiter
.452   4   Rukh Egg
.1952   4   Avalanche Riders
.1689   4   Flametongue Kavu
.395   2   Ali from Cairo
.1046   4   Murderous Redcap
.96   4   Gauntlet of Might
.164   23   Mountain
.1423   4   Seething Song
.1916   2   Grim Lavamancer
.538   1   Triskelion
This one is capitalizing on some great Kiki-Jiki interactions.
Note that the Imperial Recruiter can fetch everything you are going to need + it could do that every turn with kiki out.
Murderous Redcap along with Kiki on the board is like a free Lightning Bolt every turn , able to block aswell that leaves a 1/1 creature at the end of your turn.Triskelion is serving a simmilar purpose.
Avalanche Riders strip gonna strip away multiple lands along with kiki + sending in a 2/2 haste creature that dies at the end of the turn.
Gauntlet of Might and Rukh egg are just there for nostalgy ,but they fit the deck pretty well.
Seething Song should speed things up while Ali from Cairo keeping you alive when you are in trouble.
Definatly fun to play.

strength:
creature decks / control decks
weakness:
combo decks

I got the idea for the deck while I was looking for cards for another deck. Basically it tries to put as many lands in the game early on to make Scute mob grow and Dragonmaster outcast to start pumping tokens. It is an OK casual deck and I'm looking for some info and ideas to improve it.

Scute Outcast

4 Scute Mob
4 Dragonmaster Outcast
4 Harrow
4 Land Grant
4 Plated Geopede
4 Rampaging Baloths
4 Sakura-Tribe Elder
4 Eternal Witness
4 Bloodbraid Elf
1 Black Lotus
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Ruby
4 Taiga
4 Wooded Foothills
4 Mountain
5 Forest
3 Khalni Heart Expedition
1 Zektar Shrine Expedition

been toying around with a certain type of deck (mostly for the AI tournament).
but the interactions in these 2 decks are just too complex for the AI to handle well enough.
anyway you might enjoy them.

version 1 (B/G)
Code: Select all
.398   4   Bazaar of Baghdad
.1088   4   Bloodghast
.753   4   Ashen Ghoul
.747   4   Extractor Demon
.738   4   Krovikan Horror
.779   4   Sedraxis Specter
.304   4   Zombie Infestation
.1925   4   Squee, Goblin Nabob
.700   1   Dread Return*
.17   1   Black Lotus
.166   1   Mox Jet
.684   4   Golgari Grave-Troll
.12   4   Bayou
.1967   4   Life from the Loam
.1959   4   Verdant Catacombs
.390   4   Crop Rotation
.165   1   Mox Emerald
.1487   4   Polluted Delta
version 2 (B/G/R)
Code: Select all
.350   3   Raven's Crime
.1967   4   Life from the Loam
.753   4   Ashen Ghoul
.1088   4   Bloodghast
.881   4   Hellspark Elemental
.838   4   Burning Inquiry
.306   4   Reckless Charge
.1730   4   Rite of Flame
.9   4   Badlands
.12   4   Bayou
.241   4   Taiga
.239   4   Swamp
.164   4   Mountain
.398   4   Bazaar of Baghdad
.747   4   Extractor Demon
.680   1   Stinkweed Imp
Crop Rotation is in there to play basicly 8 Bazaar of Baghdad and should be use relentlessly along with Zombie Infestation.Dredge to fill graveyard fast and you will be able to swarm the opponent very quick at a consistant rate. The interaction between Life from the Loam and Raven´s Crime can be very nice if you are up against a controlish deck.
Retired a long time ago. I will not reply.

Re: Share your decks in .dck form

Postby aww1979 » 02 Jun 2010, 19:11

Here's a Mill deck I was trying to get the AI to play for the tournament, but 95% of the time it refuses to play any of the spells that actually mill you :p In a dozen games I saw it cast one Mind Funeral and one Glimpse the Unthinkable. It also uses Jace's second ability every time, which is usually the best way to do things, but not in this deck. In the human's hands, it won some games, but it wasn't up to the standards of most of the other decks I built.

;ITS A TRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.1041 4 Archive Trap
.610 4 Glimpse the Unthinkable
.469 4 Mind Funeral
.473 4 Nemesis of Reason
.114 4 Howling Mine
.804 4 Jace Beleren
.1275 4 Damnation
.1315 4 Kami of the Crescent Moon
.258 4 Underground Sea
.1728 4 Wasteland
.1633 4 Watery Grave
.1487 4 Polluted Delta
.126 6 Island
.239 2 Swamp
.1043 4 Hedron Crab

I made a last minute swap of Hedron Crab for Tome Scour. Since the AI can't play it anyway, Drowning Catacomb and maybe some other nonbasics should be added back in. (I'd taken it out because AI liked to hold it in hand :p)

Despite the deck name, you won't be seeing this one in June :) At least not from me...

;legacy aww1979 Pyromancer

;4th Edition
;

.619 4 Pyromancer Ascension
.1281 4 Time Warp
.312 4 Ponder
.499 4 Brainstorm
.628 4 Accumulated Knowledge
.114 4 Howling Mine
.145 4 Lightning Bolt
.593 4 Chain Lightning
.413 4 Impulse
.266 4 Volcanic Island
.1981 4 Scalding Tarn
.126 10 Island
.164 6 Mountain

This deck is fun to play, but unfortunately the AI sucks with it, so it isn't tournament quality. (It won't play the most important card, Pyromancer Ascension)

I took the basic idea from a deck I found online, and modded it a bit for Legacy. The idea is to get Pyromancer Ascension out with counters, then take several turns in a row with Time Warp, and throw lightning to the head, which all gets copied.

The deck I took the idea from is this one:

Deck list is pretty close
-counterspell for double negative
-fireball for banefire
-echoing truth for into the roil
-impulse for worldly counsel

Made it in manalink because he is the only guy in the entire tournament linked that actually made his own deck and didn't netdeck

.126 9 Island
.164 7 Mountain
.1981 4 Scalding Tarn
.1469 2 Terramorphic Expanse

.241 4 Taiga
.252 4 Tropical Island
.266 4 Volcanic Island
.1474 4 Wooded Foothills
.1834 4 Misty Rainforest
.230 1 Sol Ring
.165 1 Mox Emerald
.166 1 Mox Jet
.167 1 Mox Pearl
.168 1 Mox Ruby
.169 1 Mox Sapphire
.894 1 Mana Crypt
.17 1 Black Lotus
.1 1 Ancestral Recall
.249 1 Time Walk
.578 4 Trinket Mage
.1618 4 Mulldrifter
.943 4 Coiling Oracle
.1920 4 Lorescale Coatl
.646 4 Bloodbraid Elf
.1099 4 Imperial Recruiter
.718 3 Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker
.1223 3 Eternal Witness

Pretty much everything you play makes you either draw a card directly or search for a card and put it into your hand.
Trinket Mage for Lotus / Sol Ring leads to some nice plays.
Imperial Recruiter can fetch everything besides Bloodbraid Elf.Kiki-Jiki is just insane in that one.

I really love the idea of the deck, it works great, I used all these cards in various decks but never put them together. Your list is great, I just made some slight modifications to suit my playing style better.

Removed Mox Jet, Mox Pearl, Mana Crypt, 1 Mulldrifter.
Added Mox Opal, Sensei's Divining Top, Aether Vial and Brainstorm.

It's basically the same deck but Aether Vial is just amazing as well is Top with Coiling Oracle or Bloodbraid Elf, Mox Opal since you'll usually have 3 artifacts because of Trinket Mage and Brainstorm is just too good with Lorescale Coatl.

I´ve been tinkering around with Venser / Momentary Blink and made a few decklists with them. Here is a fun one:

.953 3 Venser the Sojurner
.641 4 Wall of Roots
.754 4 Momentary Blink
.1223 4 Eternal Witness
.1251 2 Carven Caryatid
.1917 1 Harmonic Sliver
.1281 3 Time Warp
.1618 4 Mulldrifter
.252 4 Tropical Island
.212 4 Savannah
.1488 4 Flooded Strand
.1473 4 Windswept Heath
.254 4 Tundra
.91 1 Forest
.188 1 Plains
.126 1 Island
.240 4 Swords to Plowshares
.588 2 Path to Exile
.1943 1 Reveillark
.1965 1 Isochron Scepter
.491 1 Sun Titan
.344 3 Worldly Tutor

Far from perfection, but still a lot of fun to play. My current playdeck-folder is quite aggro infested atm and thus there are a few more walls included than i would usually play. Feel free to adjust it to your needs.
( Kitchen Finks work quite well instead of Carven Caryatid . Might want to cut Time Warp #3 and Venser #3 for additional cards. A 2nd Isochron Scepter wouldn´t hurt and maybe a Jace or two)

The general idea is quite simple. Generate Cardadvantage and stay alive during the early turns and later you will eventually get a Time Warp lock online. Quite a lot of cards are needed for the lock, but you don´t really need it. Eternal Witness and Mulldrifter are really nice in this one.

Momentary Blink is so much fun. You can do all sorts of tricks with it.I´ve build this deck IRL and had some fun with it in my playgroup. It is surprisingly tough to stop once you get rolling, but it takes a bit too long to setup to be competitive (tournaments etc.).Maybe someone got an idea or two.
It could obviously need some Jace etc but i don´t own one at the moment.Ment to be a casual deck anyways.
