here is one of my favorite lists with a couple of the new cards. Made a little "article" out of it:

Code: Select all
;Jwar Control
;
;Salbei
;
;10/10/2009
;1
;4th Edition
;

.1064   1   Sphinx of Jwar Isle
.720   4   Mana Drain
.1717   4   Force of Will
.499   1   Brainstorm
.165   1   Mox Emerald
.166   1   Mox Jet
.167   1   Mox Pearl
.168   1   Mox Ruby
.169   1   Mox Sapphire
.402   1   Sensei's Divining Top
.230   1   Sol Ring
.644   4   Sower of Temptation
.62   1   Demonic Tutor
.333   1   Vampiric Tutor
.258   4   Underground Sea
.1487   4   Polluted Delta
.126   5   Island
.1127   1   Ob Nixilis, the Fallen
.239   1   Swamp
.1488   4   Flooded Strand
.630   1   Vedalken Shackles
.1   1   Ancestral Recall
.249   1   Time Walk
.639   1   Tezzeret the Seeker
.804   2   Jace Beleren
.632   2   Umezawa's Jitte
.317   1   Tolarian Academy
.808   1   Liliana Vess
.1220   4   Shadowmage Infiltrator
.1618   4   Mulldrifter
Its a Aggro/Control hybrid deck based on a mix of cardadvantage and library manipulation , backed up by Drains/FoW. It was designed to beat my gauntlet and thus has to be versatile.
You will have plenty of things to do per turn during the mid/late game since there are a bunch of Planeswalkers in there.
Once you´ve reached a certain point where you´ve stabalized the Deck is hard to stop.
The cardchoices are as versatile as possible and i will go into that now:

card-draw
.804 2 Jace Beleren
.1618 4 Mulldrifter
.1 1 Ancestral Recall
.499 1 Brainstorm
.1220 4 Shadowmage Infiltrator

Thats 12 slots for carddraw, Infiltrators/jace provide a steady stream of new cards

manipulation
.808 1 Liliana Vess
.639 1 Tezzeret the Seeker
.402 1 Sensei's Divining Top
.62 1 Demonic Tutor
.333 1 Vampiric Tutor

Tezz should fetch mana(mox/sol ring)first if needed . Also good for fetching Jitte/Shackles as defense.
I rarly used the Liliana Vess tutor thing, most of the time i just let her discard.
Demonic/Vampiric are very versatile - i usually grab Force/Drain or Shackles with them.

defense
.632 2 Umezawa's Jitte
.630 1 Vedalken Shackles
.644 4 Sower of Temptation
.720 4 Mana Drain
.1717 4 Force of Will

Force/Drain to protect you Infiltrators / or to foil the opponents strategy.
Mana Drain is the MVP in this deck since it protects AND speeds things up.
Don´t be afraid to use Force of Will to remove a creature from your hand.
Sower / Shackles are very versatile and save your butt from common threats.
Jitte can kill of creatures or grant you some life if needed.

offense
.632 2 Umezawa's Jitte
.1127 1 Ob Nixilis, the Fallen
.1064 1 Sphinx of Jwar Isle
.644 4 Sower of Temptation
.1618 4 Mulldrifter
.1220 4 Shadowmage Infiltrator
.249 1 Time Walk

Sower/Mulldrifter/Shadowmage play versatile roles in this , they usually deal the major damage.
the jitte can be considered as a winning option aswell since you can pump your creatures.
Ob Nixilis slot is in there for the quick win and is also helping a lot when you deal with opponents with a lot of lifegain. the 8 fetchlands in there should provide some "spike damage" with him aswell.
The Sphinx is a defensive choice against decks with heavy creature removal (shroud also prevents it from dying to The Abyss).
Technicly the planeswalkers could be considered as winning option aswell - but usually the creatures finish the game.

manabase
.165 1 Mox Emerald
.166 1 Mox Jet
.167 1 Mox Pearl
.168 1 Mox Ruby
.169 1 Mox Sapphire
.230 1 Sol Ring
.258 4 Underground Sea
.1487 4 Polluted Delta
.1488 4 Flooded Strand
.126 5 Island
.239 1 Swamp
.317 1 Tolarian Academy

thats 25 mana sources (8 fetchlands). the average spell costs 3 mana.
the number is actually slightly too low but usually the carddraw provides a stable manabase.
5 moxen + sol ring for acceleration (no room for Black Lotus  )
8 fetchlands to thin out the deck, synergy with Sensei´s / Ob Nixian /Brainstorm.
4 Underground Sea (could be cut down to 2 to add more basics if needed,i prefer to play 4 against Wastelands over adding more basics - Shakles rely on your Island count)
5 Island / 1 Swamp are in there against Blood Moon Effects and the Crucible+Wasteland lock

no room for
Fact Or Fiction
Black Lotus
Ponder
Dark Confidant
Damnation
Yawgmoths Will
Loxodon Warhammer
Sword Of Fire And Ice
Psychatog,Goyfs,Tombstalker

First version i´ve played this deck with Confidants.Matchup against burn based decks was too bad with it so i´m using Mulldrifter instead.
Fact/Ponder : could cut Mulldrifter for it.
Warhammer/SOFI: good cards , but jitte is just more versatile.
Damnation: can save your butt , but the card is dead too often in my gauntlet.
Yawgmoths Will: Main thing that scared me off was the average Manacost of the spells in this.
No other reason to not run it.
Creatures:Tombstalker/Psychatog would fit in this very well.Feel free to adjust.

.1913 4 Dryad Arbor

.740 1 Pendelhaven
.1473 3 Windswept Heath
.1985 4 Oran-Rief, the Vastwood
.319 1 Gaea's Cradle
.91 7 Forest

This did better than I thought it would :p It's a nice, casual landfall deck I made just to play around. I won several games with it until I crashed it by trying to use the Jitte to pump a creature, forgetting it wasn't equipped to anything at the time :p It could really use more forests, since sometimes it runs out, and Harrow is bugged (or else has wrong text ingame) because the lands come into play tapped, contrary to the text. Most games I didn't even get the baloths out; I never seemed to draw them, but the Scutas were usually growing by about turn 3-4, and they whooped some major behind.

Harrow is supposed to put lands into play untapped.

Hello all, I've been lurking around for a while and finally registered.

Here are a few of my pet decks...
;

(Artemus Gordon)

.965 4 Ensnaring Bridge
.495 3 Feldon's Cane
.1547 4 Frogmite
.1774 4 Grafted Skullcap
.310 4 Grim Monolith
.114 3 Howling Mine
.1775 4 Mind Stone
.165 1 Mox Emerald
.166 1 Mox Jet
.167 1 Mox Pearl
.168 1 Mox Ruby
.169 1 Mox Sapphire
.1548 2 Myr Enforcer
.230 1 Sol Ring
.1219 4 Ancient Den
.1682 4 Darksteel Citadel
.1218 4 Great Furnace
.1216 4 Seat of the Synod
.1116 2 Planar Portal
.1308 2 Platinum Angel
.18 1 Black Vise
.1573 3 Smokestack
.451 3 Ring of Ma'rûf
Set up for the March of the Machines challenge, it is a fun and versatile lock down deck. Smokestack keeps the game from crashing due to excessive permanents.

Ring fetches any non-artifact card (WoG,fireball etc...)

60 card Battle of wits

.1432 3 Reiterate*
.1889 2 Cunning Wish
.1498 4 Prosperity
.587 4 Meditate
.1953 1 Battle of Wits
.282 1 Wheel of Fortune
.1342 1 Time Spiral
.250 1 Timetwister
.495 1 Feldon's Cane
.349 3 Enlightened Tutor
.1912 1 Crucible of Worlds
.1501 1 Zuran Orb
.80 1 Fastbond
.155 3 Mana Flare
.1248 3 Heartbeat of Spring
.1340 2 Palinchron
.25 3 Braingeyser
.266 4 Volcanic Island
.1474 4 Wooded Foothills
.254 4 Tundra
.252 4 Tropical Island
.1488 4 Flooded Strand
.528 1 Strip Mine
.1425 2 Time Stretch
.1245 2 Recollect
This deck will work if you can keep the game from crashing. It sets up an inf. mana combo with Mana flare and palinchron. then it Reiterate s Cunning wish about 200 times. Shuffle hand into the library, then win.

This deck is all about setting up Yawgmoth's Bargain / Ivory Tower combo. Not original but fun to play. The deck kills with either Test of Endurance or a Empyrial Plate equipped shadow critter.

And finaly

ug garruk stasis

.1 1 Ancestral Recall
.585 4 Boomerang
.48 4 Counterspell
.1931 4 Cryptic Command
.1665 3 Frozen Æther
.802 4 Garruk Wildspeaker
.114 4 Howling Mine
.1639 4 Breeding Pool
.1488 4 Flooded Strand
.1487 4 Polluted Delta
.252 4 Tropical Island
.126 8 Island
.495 2 Feldon's Cane
.503 3 Ivory Tower
.233 4 Stasis
.140 2 Library of Leng
.1971 2 Mind Over Matter
This deck sets up stasis lock with Garruk Wildspeaker, which also provides a win with the beasts and overrun.

Anyway, those are a few of my favorites.

All of these cards are restricted to 1
If you cut each back to 1, you could put in 1-3 lands and Land Grant. maybe....
