.1651 3 Boros Garrison
.1020 3 Yosei, the Morning Star
.1833 2 Sword of Fire and Ice
Simmilar to a deck i´ve posted earlier.
This is a creature based deck that plays a very defensive early game - setting up a chain reaction/starstorm to clear the path while your own creatures are protected from those board sweepers.Typical "midgame" strategy.
Boros Garrison allows to keep the landdrops coming.A card like this almost begs for a "
Wasteland" , but if it happens it aint so bad. the mana curve starts at 2 , the average spell costs 3.
Wall of Reverence is kinda special in there . You will always be glad to see one. a wall like this means that after you wipe the board the opponent needs an additional creature to be able to hit you (usually has to be flying).very strong synergie with
Volcanic Fallout /
Chain Reaction.
Chain Reaction is just wacky - it acts like a one sided
Wrath of God - even for the same ammount of mana!
strength:
creature decks / burn strategies
stable manabase - immune to
Blood Moonweakness:
Damnation /
Wrath of God / fast Fatties (no stp/pte, feel free to add them)
combo / control decks
B.A. Zoo- Code: Select all
.912 4 Acidic Slime
.915 3 Mold Shambler
.1952 4 Avalanche Riders
.1689 4 Flametongue Kavu
.1916 4 Grim Lavamancer
.646 4 Bloodbraid Elf
.425 4 Punishing Fire
.241 4 Taiga
.1474 4 Wooded Foothills
.422 4 Grove of the Burnwillows
.91 3 Forest
.164 5 Mountain
.1733 4 Tarmogoyf
.1470 4 Sakura-Tribe Elder
.596 3 Rishadan Port
.1896 2 Gorilla Shaman
Mid-Lategame strategy designed for Board Advantage (B.A.). Pretty much plays like a very interactive control deck withtout countermagic, except that your spells are played active (instead of re-active -> wait for your opponent to cast to answer the thread)
Lots of Land/Permanent destruction as creatures comes into play effect - even if the opponents handles the creature after it has been played , the damage already has been done.Rinse and repeat untill your opponent is unable to recover.
The recuring
Punishing Fire /
Grim Lavamancer will keep you save against most creatures - just going to get stronger the longer the game goes.watch out for early Baneslayer Angels though.
Rishadan Port /
Gorilla Shaman serve as early disruption and finally lock out the opponent later from doing anything at all.
strength:
creature/control decks
weakness:
fast combo decks
Meddling Therapy- Code: Select all
.1921 4 Meddling Mage
.666 4 Cabal Therapy
.1945 4 Tidehollow Sculler
.478 3 Jotun Grunt
.1828 4 Looter il-Kor
.1907 3 Thoughtseize
.216 4 Scrubland
.254 4 Tundra
.258 4 Underground Sea
.1487 4 Polluted Delta
.1723 4 Dark Confidant
.188 1 Plains
.126 1 Island
.239 1 Swamp
.1488 3 Flooded Strand
.588 4 Path to Exile
.754 4 Momentary Blink
.1935 4 Kitchen Finks
The Deck is all about disruption. Was designed to beat combo decks and does surprisingly well against other decks too.
Was toying around with
Momentary Blink (you can untap an attacker that will die after blocking with it,prevent a blocker from dying ,remove the persist counters on finks and gain additional life or just rename another card with
Meddling Mage /
Tidehollow Sculler.
Cabal Therapy is also very nice in this one since you almost never have to shoot it blind (lots of information due to Thoughseize /
Tidehollow Sculler).
The looters role is to get through your deck faster while dealing a bit damage and to feed the grunt.
Could fit in Wastelands there if you feel like you need em for a well-rounded deck.
Definatly fun to play.
strength:
control decks / combo decks
weakness:
creature decks
Kiki-Sicky- Code: Select all
.718 4 Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker
.1099 4 Imperial Recruiter
.452 4 Rukh Egg
.1952 4 Avalanche Riders
.1689 4 Flametongue Kavu
.395 2 Ali from Cairo
.1046 4 Murderous Redcap
.96 4 Gauntlet of Might
.164 23 Mountain
.1423 4 Seething Song
.1916 2 Grim Lavamancer
.538 1 Triskelion
This one is capitalizing on some great Kiki-Jiki interactions.
Note that the
Imperial Recruiter can fetch everything you are going to need + it could do that every turn with kiki out.
Murderous Redcap along with Kiki on the board is like a free
Lightning Bolt every turn , able to block aswell that leaves a 1/1 creature at the end of your turn.
Triskelion is serving a simmilar purpose.
Avalanche Riders strip gonna strip away multiple lands along with kiki + sending in a 2/2 haste creature that dies at the end of the turn.
Gauntlet of Might and Rukh egg are just there for nostalgy ,but they fit the deck pretty well.
Seething Song should speed things up while
Ali from Cairo keeping you alive when you are in trouble.
Definatly fun to play.
