Challenge Ideas

here are a couple of my ideas for new challenges:
1. sting
you get poison counters during your upkeep (meaning you loose the game as soon as you got 10).
the number can be increased at later games to decrease the turns you got t
2. night of the living dead
living dead being cast every turn.
AI could start with multiple Bazaar Of Baghdad later aswell.
3. judge?! He´s cheating !
AI drawing more cards than you . maybe just 2 instead of 1 early - but more later.
4. over the rainbow
AI can only be damaged by multicolored sources (hybrid cards , multicolor creatures/spells)
5. 2 girls 1 castingcost
You can only cast spells with CC 2.(lands aswell)
6. mirror mirror !
you play a mirror match (same deck as the AI) against the AI. AI might have more life or any other advantage.
7. burn baby!
you can only damage the AI with instant/sorcery spells (a.k.a. burn)
8. Overflow
you can only damage the AI with " Black Vise ".
(AI can start with Ivory Tower later)
9. Iron Maiden
you can only damage the AI with " The Rack "
(AI can start with Howling Mine later)
10. Millstone Fanatic
you have to win by milling the AI.
(AI decksize can increase later.just up the AI life to like 5K , that should do it)
11. Sir Weld-a-lot
you start with 2 Goblin Welder ingame , but cannot play any spells or lands.

I'm not sure you are reasoning that you can actually do something neat with 2 goblin welders when you can't cast spells or lands.
Since to use a Welder you must have an artifact in play and one in graveyard. Obviously you can easily discard them to grave but getting them in play might prove challenging.

maybe add a couple 0/1 Artifact Token to start with aswell.
Or Start with a Crucible of Worlds - but that would be too easy then i guess.

-Uber Banned: (and this is what I thought the BANNED challenge was at first) have one where the AIs decks break type 1 rules, i.e. 4x Mox Ruby in a burn deck or something.
-Chaos Orb: (not the vanguard) during your upkeep, one of your permanents (or maybe nonland permanents) is buried at random
-Planeswalker Duel: A series of opponents with themed decks, and each one gets a planeswalker in play. For instance, Sarkhan Vol likes dragons, so a dragon deck that starts with it in play, and so on.
-Time Bomb: You start with one of each basic land in play, and Illusions of Grandeur on your side. (but 20 life only, not 40)
-Give me that: Like chaos orb, only instead of losing a nonland permanent on each turn, AI gains control of one of your nonland permanents each turn at random.
-Double Trouble: Whenever the AI casts a creature (or maybe other cards, too) a token copy comes into play of that creature.
-Urza's Armour: AI starts with 4x indestructible Urza's Armour in play
-Blast from the Past: AIs decks are all previous world tournament winners, and get some permanent in play for free on turn 1, something that would go with the deck well.
-Yawgmoth Wins: AI starts with a whole bunch of random cards in his graveyard and casts Yawgmoth's Will for free on each of his upkeeps
-The Legend: AI starts with some uber legendary creature in play that fits his deck theme or style. A good way to put some of The Legends set legends to work!
-Auramancer: I don't know if this is possible, but have one where every time the AI casts a creature, a random (helpful) enchant creature card is placed on it for free.
-Need for Land: You must play a land every turn, or lose the game at end of turn. (works with any other card type, too, but other than creature, most would be quite unfair, though that's half the fun!)
-Manastorm: AI gets a Channel the Suns cast every turn during its main phase
Other things that could be done involve using some of the same decks we've already seen, but giving them really mean cards to help them out, like giving the burn deck The Abyss or Gauntlet of Might in play. (or both!)

nice list !
i really like the Urza's Armor idea.
build a deck around that a while ago with a bunch of Copy Artifact , Sculpting Steel , Urzas Armor and Weakstone . was quite fun to play that.

might be a bit too complex:
you start at 1 life and a indestructible card in play that prevents all damage dealt to you.
that card starts with X counters . X = 12-round of the challenge --> round 5 you would have 7 counters on it // round 10 you would have 2 counter on it)
whenever you would gain life put a single counter on that card.(you gain 3 life -> put 1 counter on it)
whenever you are dealt damage/lose life you must remove a single counter on that card
(per damage source -> lighning bolt on you -> remove 1 counter).
could reverse this aswell and make the AI start with that indestructible card in play, just with more counters instead of less per round.
i really like the Urza's Armor idea.

The urzas armor one might as well read you must mill the opponent.
With 4 urzas armor out you have to smack him with creatures 5 power+ which is ridiculous.

Fun ideas, keep them coming. Challenge mode has definitely been my favorite way to play. I've spent way too many hours trying to beat challenge 3 already.
Maybe once I get the current version released I'll add some of these challenges, just for fun (i.e. no cards to unlock).

Challenge idea 1: I know my ABC's
Use twice the alphabeth ( 2x26 = 52 + 8 basic land cards to break the rule )
ex. Academy Rector, Balance, Castle and so on...
Challenge idea 2: Bookwurmmm
You can only win when you have 20 cards left in the game ( 40 cards must be exiled... )
Challenge idea 3: B.F.M.
You can only win when you have a 99/99 creature on the table ( maybe 1st match a 10/10, 2nd match 20/20 and so on... )
Challenge idea 4: Big 'zero'
You start with Lich and all the moxes...
Challenge idea 5: I'm loving Angels instead
Use only Angels or cards with Angel in the title
Challenge idea 6: Patience
You only win when taken 5 turns in a row using cards like time warp/walk.
Challenge idea 7: Jack-in-a-Box
1st turn, opponent has 1 jester's cap
2nd turn, opoonent has 2 jester's cap and so on...
Challenge idea 8: Here there be dragons
Opponent gets a rondom dragon every turn.
Maybe 1st/2nd game small drakes like wind drake and fire drake
3rd/4th azure drake and dragon welp
and so on
final game dragons like bogardan hellkite and broodmate dragon
Challenge idea 9: I've got my methods
Damage opponent only by abbilities like rootwater hunter and sush

Did someone seriusly play 50 duels in a row with one deck, without saving....

I've done the 50 game gauntlet successfully a couple times. Of course the enemy decks included lots of the game defaults, so the going was quite a bit easier (though still challenging obviously).
Great challenge ideas. I'd love to try a couple of those.

I just added the Lich challenge. It's pretty easy when they don't draw Demystify!!
Any proposals on what it should unlock?
