I made this deck just to try out the EDH format, and it seems to work just fine. I didn't put in any restricted cards or cards that have been restricted in the past (like land tax) or any other legends, and it could be optimized in a lot of other ways, I'm sure. I only played a couple games with it, but it seems like a great format. I haven't tried giving the AI an EDH deck yet to see if it will play his general or not, but that would be really cool if it did.

Ya thats a good deck all right except you are using banned cards and a banned general.

The game won't care what you put into it but its surely not legal for EDH. You also can't use things that have non G mana symbols on the card when you are using a mono-green general like Rofellos.

But hey if you want to play EDH your way then have fun .

A deck I have been having a ton of fun with is this:

It is creature less (except for the general) and focuses on keeping the board clear until it can drop Akroma and finish, though against the AI, burn is usually enough.

You might want to consider Rorix instead of Akroma in this deck. He has haste built in and can swing in the turn you play him for 6 mana ending the game quicker then Akroma can.

Cognis had a mono-red deck but used Rorix and it was very effective.

Usually i would agree, but she combines the morph trick for getting around the cost issues (I don't think this works in manalink, but meh.)She is also much harder to remove through swords or bounce. As a nice extra, she lives through nearly all of the deck's board wipe.

It is personal taste, but I like the extra flexibility Akroma provides over Rorix. There is more to EDH than the clock.

I've been playing a lot of EDH recently.

Here are some decks I've made.

I know Arcanis, Sharuum and Nicol Bolas have Tolarian Academy, but it's not like I'm trying to drop Emrakul turn 3 in any of the decks.

I guess I wasn't aware of what was banned from EDH. The elf deck that jatill posted as an example also used Rofellos as a general. Is that deck illegal, too?

Also, the only non-green mana symbols in the deck are colorless. I thought that was all right. Or is that illegal because Rofellos only uses green mana? Once again, the elf deck example did the same thing, so I thought it was allowed.
