aww1979 used this deck to beat the challenge (found at the archive, might be outdated). + Other posts.

I got tired of getting to round 8 using Channelball :p This deck made it the first try. The mirror match was quite amusing, as Maelstrom Pulse and Martial Coup would wipe the board back and forth. I was actually quite surprised this deck worked so well; I only built it because Channelball was so boring after awhile. There might be ways to optimize it, too, since I never had to tweak it.

Just for interest's sake, here is the Channelball deck. I'm pretty sure if I slugged away at it for a couple hours it could win, but the above deck was far better.

The actual channelball combo only went off maybe 10-20% of the time; the rest of the games involved using Living Wish to get a hoser dependent on the metagame, like Ali from Cairo or Magus of the Moat, and then throwing X damage spells at the AI's head until it died. It used to have earthquake instead of pyroclasm, but other than that I never changed it except to tweak the mana base a bit.

I remember fondly the day I beat 'Easy as 1, 2, 3' on my first try (with a non-oath deck even!)

I actually tried some non-oath decks first. One was a blue affinity deck with 'cheaper' cards in most slots; frogmite, force of will, myr enforcer, bringer of the blue dawn, stratadon, and the other was a monoblack vampire deck, with the higher CC cards never actually being cast except occasionally Tombstalker. They did alright, but then I remembered Oath of Druids! (How I could forget, I don't know...)

Here is my build:

It buries the AI under massive card advantage and usualy kills with a combination of Elesh norn and Iona.

Here is a different deck that I used to beat this challenge. It took me a lot of tries to win, but I enjoyed playing it. It kills by ramping swamps into play, play Damnation to clear the board, and then Corrupt and/or Drain Life for the kill. The ideal opening hand is something like 4 lands, ramp spell, Damnation, and Time Spiral. Time Walk counts as a ramp spell ;) Getting 7-10 swamps in play is not too hard and usually 2-3 Corrupt is enough to kill.

I can hardly believe it, but I won this challenge with a land-destruction-oriented deck (built as I got frustrated by direct burn decks). This won on the first try.

.12 4 Bayou
.212 4 Savannah
.216 4 Scrubland
.254 3 Tundra
.252 3 Tropical Island

Just beat this challenge with this:

1 Mountain
18 Forest
4 Taiga
4 Burning Wish
3 Earthquake
4 Beacon of Creation
3 Call of the Herd
4 Cultivate
4 Living Wish
2 Harmonize
3 Pulse of the Tangle
4 Rampant Growth
3 Overrun
3 Hurricane

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Beacon of Creation + Overrun combo is one of the best kill of this deck, Pulse and Beacon give you the time to get it. Just Wish correctly depending what you have against.

My choices for wishes:

Living Wish : Predator Ooze , Ali from Cairo, Artisan of Kozilek , Primordial Hydra

Burning Wish : Savage Twister , Flashfires, Creeping Corrosion, Devastating Dreams

Beat it with this modification of 240sx's deck on first try, after trying out some other decks with little success. The addition of Gerrard's Wisdom improved the regularity a lot.

This deck will most likely lose to the Winter Orb/Black Vise burn deck unless lucky, and can occasionally lose to Gaddock Teeg or to several early counterspells but curshes most of the stuff. Wins are a bit slow though (usually living wish for Emrakul, although once used it for Kokusho to speed u the kill, and might be occasionally necessary to living wish peacekeeper to stall the early game on a bad draw).
Mirror match is slow. At first I thought I'd have to living wish several Emrakul and cast them all in a row, but the AI waits for very last cards to cast timetwister so you can deck him out with Allied Strategies.
You might want to include Burning wish, if only to tutor for Meltdown.
Might want to replace a wrath with a 3rd Gerrard's Wisdom too, for burn decks.
Also I have only one plain as Farseek is bugged in my version and leaves the land in the deck, so I can get a second one with cultivate. Might switch one scrubland for one plain if it got fixed in recent patches.
Chainer's Edict couldn't be cast from graveyard in my version, crashes the game. Might have been fixed as well.

Swamp 6
Mountain
Forest 9
Bayou 4
Underground Sea
Scrubland 2
Gerrard's Wisdom 2
