Solar Ice wrote:And finally, the Urza Wannabe winning list:

.807 4 Ajani Goldmane
.822 4 Ajani Vengeant
.823 4 Elspeth, Knight-Errant
.802 4 Garruk Wildspeaker
.808 4 Liliana Vess
.1839 4 Pernicious Deed
.625 4 Sarkhan Vol
.613 4 Sorin Markov*
.12 4 Bayou
.212 4 Savannah
.216 4 Scrubland
.241 4 Taiga
.9 4 Badlands
.189 4 Plateau
.239 2 Swamp
.62 1 Demonic Tutor
.17 1 Black Lotus

A few attempts here. It's a rather difficult challenge but I got through it last night. Deeds are the key and I often mulled hoping to get them or Demonic Tutor. If you can clear the board and slap down a Sorin or Garruk you've pretty much won, If you can keep Sarkhan in play three turns without getting attacked you've also won. Those three are best Plainwalkers in this deck and I was underwhelmed with Liliana, Elspeth (though he's good for tokens chumping to protect Sarkhan) and especially Vengeant. Goldmane is pretty decent though I'd rather have Garruk/Sorin after a Deed. Had Damnation in place of the Lotus at one point but Lotus is better.

The best ability in this deck turned out to be Liliana's tutor. Basically mulligan until you get a drop-spell or enough lands to stall with a Garruk or an Elspeth. Get Liliana into play and tutor for a Sorin or Bolas. Garruk is great for hardcasting the expensive win spells.

The last battle was by far the hardest, when the mirror Eureka'd out a Nicol turn 4, which I responded with... Elspeth. Thankfully the AI has no idea how to use planeswalkers!

Not sure about the Show and Tells, I only used them once, but I couldn't come up with a better replacement- maybe land tax or moat?

Just did this one in the challenges tutorial:

.561 3 Koth of the Hammer
.1159 3 Chandra Ablaze
.809 3 Chandra Nalaar
.625 4 Sarkhan Vol
.822 4 Ajani Vengeant
.795 3 Gideon Jura
.802 4 Garruk Wildspeaker
.17 1 Black Lotus
.230 1 Sol Ring
.189 4 Plateau
.241 4 Taiga
.212 4 Savannah
.10 1 Balance
.1568 3 Nissa's Chosen
.1431 4 Nissa Revane
.164 7 Mountain
.91 5 Forest
.188 2 Plains

ROFL I just noticed looking at the other lists that I totally missed considering the Elspeth planeswalkers.

This is my take on this challenge:

.807 4 Ajani Goldmane
.1608 4 Elspeth Tirel
.823 4 Elspeth, Knight-Errant
.795 4 Gideon Jura
.822 4 Ajani Vengeant
.809 4 Chandra Nalaar
.561 4 Koth of the Hammer
.17 1 Black Lotus
.167 1 Mox Pearl
.168 1 Mox Ruby
.230 1 Sol Ring
.164 10 Mountain
.189 4 Plateau
.188 12 Plains
.1424 1 Lotus Petal
.457 1 Mox Diamond

turn 2 or 3 koth usually wins the game so i used all six slots for acceleration.

I left out the white altogether and rode Sarkhan the Mad to game 10 with this list:

;Urza Wannabe
;
;User
;User E-Mail
;27/06/2011
;1
;4th Edition
;

.1839 4 Pernicious Deed
.173 2 Nevinyrral's Disk
.802 4 Garruk Wildspeaker
.1356 4 Karn Liberated
.808 4 Liliana Vess
.613 4 Sorin Markov*
.809 4 Chandra Nalaar
.625 4 Sarkhan Vol
.41 3 Sarkhan the Mad
.1159 3 Chandra Ablaze
.9 4 Badlands
.12 4 Bayou
.241 4 Taiga
.239 4 Swamp
.164 3 Mountain
.91 5 Forest

Deed is still the key card that allows this deck to live past turn 4, but Sarkhan the Mad and Sorin Markov really shine.

Beat it with some luck (didn't face any of the fast white decks) after a couple of tries. Here's what I used; probably the MVP's were Garruk Wildspeaker and Elspeth Tirel, since they produce the blockers that keep your planeswalkers alive long enough to do their thing. Like some others, I used all six of my free spots for mana acceleration, and kept a high land count.

.561 4 Koth of the Hammer
.809 4 Chandra Nalaar
.625 3 Sarkhan Vol
.795 4 Gideon Jura
.802 3 Garruk Wildspeaker
.17 1 Black Lotus
.230 1 Sol Ring
.189 4 Plateau
.241 4 Taiga
.212 4 Savannah
.164 4 Mountain
.91 4 Forest
.188 6 Plains
.1608 4 Elspeth Tirel
.823 2 Elspeth, Knight-Errant
.167 1 Mox Pearl
.168 1 Mox Ruby
.807 2 Ajani Goldmane
.165 1 Mox Emerald
.217 2 Garruk, Primal Hunter
.1718 1 Chrome Mox

I won the challenge with a mix of the former decks and adding one Meekstone:

.188 1 Plains
.239 1 Swamp
.212 4 Savannah
.189 4 Plateau
.241 4 Taiga
.12 4 Bayou
.9 4 Badlands
.216 4 Scrubland
.10933 4 Gideon Jura
.11244 4 Elspeth Tirel
.9955 3 Elspeth, Knight-Errant
.9058 2 Ajani Goldmane
.9148 4 Garruk Wildspeaker
.9201 4 Liliana Vess
.10668 1 Sorin Markov
.12265 4 Sorin, Lord of Innistrad
.11034 2 Sarkhan the Mad
.5416 1 Pernicious Deed
.17 1 Black Lotus
.230 1 Sol Ring
.167 1 Mox Pearl
.165 1 Mox Emerald
.159 1 Meekstone

That Meekstone saved me on several duels, included two Counterslivers.
Liliana Vess was a great tutor.
