Okay, the deck is a lot of fun. Getting two counters on Pyromancer Ascension will pretty much overpower most decks if they don't remove it. Likewise, getting Chandra to seven counters will seal the deal as well.
Against the AI, Browbeat is consistent. It's 5 damage to any opponent with 10 or more life, and a 3 card draw if they're at 9 or less. Thankfully, the AI doesn't understand "hey, he's got 6 other cards in hand, already played a land this turn, and has no more mana, so if he draws three, he'll have to discard two." Though to be fair, I rarely make such a play and letting this deck draw even more is rarely a good idea.
Desperate Ravings is an odd choice. I wanted a fairly cheap flashback draw spell in the mix because it only takes two of them to get both Ascension counters. I didn't want to use Faithless Looting since that's a -1. Think Twice is almost the same card, but then I realized that it's little more than a 5-mana +1, whereas Desperate Ravings is pitchable to Chandra, and the discarding can randomly throw an unnecessary card and/or set up for a faster Ascension counter.
I'm starting to consider dropping the Niv-Mizzets though. While it fits the draw/burn theme, I'm not really playing control here. For 6 mana, it's too weak of a beatstick (I could easily get a 5/6 flying or better), and it's usually not on the board long enough to draw 3+ cards or deal 5+ damage, usually because it's either removed or the game is over already. Not sure what I'd put in though.
