I love dominion but have a question. I had an older version and never really read much of what was going on here till now. THe older version I had had the actual art and now it's just static text. Were you told or asked to take the art out? Why? If Wizards doesn't really crack down on all the free magic programs why does this one?

Thanks again for a great PC version of one of my favorite games.

Oh god. Nevermind. I went to BGG and read that thread. I do love this game and think the guy who made it did a great job but he came off over there as kind of a jerk. Anyhow I guess people made something that was zombie themed for the paper versions clone so any chance we could do something like this here? I might just make my own, if I do does anyone want copies? Debating using the promo art borders that MTG uses and just adding pictures from the internet.

It's just distracting looking at black boxes.

I am in the process of creating some textured but text only cards for inclusion in the basic set. Should be very similar to the "new" supply buttons included in the 26/3 release.

Hopefully these will be much better than the "black" only cards.

Might take a few days as am very busy with other things....[will pass on to Jatill for inclusion - if he is happy with them].

I am also throwing together some cards, with graphics from Openclipart.org and a few self made graphics.

I attached what I have so far.

([14/04] corrected Great Hall, Cards added)

Thank you,

both for the positive feedback and that really nice program of yours. I'm really glad you like it. :D

I found some mistakes (like Adventurer named Ambassador). I updated my previous post with a new zip. It also contains more cards.

Let me reiterate, that almost every graphic comes from Openclipart.org.

Well I'm going to have to concede defeat. These are great. [Jatill, ignore the stuff I have just sent you, or alternatively issue different folders]

Although I still use the original card images, I really like what you did.

Great Job!

Ehmm... I very partial to your version of Harem! =P~

No kidding, now I can't play this game at work anymore ;)
Seriously, though, even though I have the original images, I think I will switch to yours when you're done. I'll be happy to include them in the main zip at that point. The only suggestion I'd like to make is that you put a small black border around the cards. It helps with the in-game look. But that's up to you, of course. Keep it up!

Edit: I just played a couple of games with your art, and one other suggestion is to change the banner color somehow. It's not easy to distinguish coins from actions, etc, when they are in your hand (without reading the titles). And a small bug: Swindler says +3 coins.

Updated above post. The file now contains 70 cards.

I also changed Harem ;).

I'll see about adding that border and changing Banner colors.

I never saw it. Can you leave it in as an option? This is an adult forum after all.

I think I'm only missing two cards now (Secret Chamber an Moat).

Borders added.
Title scrolls colored.
More corrections.

I'm not conviced, that the borders and colored scrolls help (you could see the bg after all). OTOH I don't see any harm in adding it.

The picture wasn't really nsfw. They were all dressed, after all ;). Added it and a nsfw version.

Thanks. When I saw your Lookout it reminded me of Popeye, so naturally another Sea Hag comes to mind:

The Adventurer could be Popeye, the Ambassador could be Wimpy...

Also, there may be a typo on those cards, copy not coppy.

All cards added.

Ambasssador fixed (thanks Huggybaby)
Changed Great Hall and Ironworks. They were too busy.

You know. My original idea was making a 80's TV&Toys set, but one would still have copyright problems then. Then I though using Renaissance paintings, but the rights for any imaging of them remains with the museums, even if the paintings are public domain.

But Popeye is public domain now. =D> That would work.

Sweet. I think the border and banner make a big difference. I did a very quick proof of the cards and came up with these errors:

adventurer still shows text for ambassador
mine says 2 more instead of 3 more
torturer has a typo
salvager says +4 instead if just + coins
