Run-time error '9'
by Elestan » 13 May 2012, 21:33
I just got a "Run-time error '9': Subscript out of range" error on a computer play. I think it might have played Bureaucrat while it had a Watchtower in hand.
Buying with Potions
by Elestan » 14 May 2012, 04:08
When I have multiple buys and one potion played, the (1 potion) in my "Coins:" display does not go away after I buy something that costs a potion.
AI Tweak
by Elestan » 14 May 2012, 14:46
A potential tweak to the AI's purchasing algorithm:
I just had a 4-p game with Council Room, Pirate Ship, and no action splitters, and the AI bought Council Room. That's a strategic error, since with no action splitters, Council Room would only be playable as your final play, and with Pirate Ship, you're not likely to have much money to draw; Council Room will usually end up helping your opponents more than it does you.

AI: Deck Thinning
by Elestan » 15 May 2012, 01:05
The AI does not seem to be very good at deck thinning. I just played a game with Chapel (the ultimate deck thinner) and Scrying Pool (which becomes exponentially more potent as you thin out your deck). None of the AIs bought Chapel; they went for Spice Merchant instead (one of them bought two, overplayed them, and was left buying Coppers).

Campaign Card Picking
by Elestan » 16 May 2012, 04:16
When a campaign scenario allows you to pick five of the cards, it's unclear which five dropdowns matter (I found out by trial and error that it's the lefthand ones). It would be more user friendly if the ineffective dropdowns were locked on "Random" in such scenarios.
Buying with Watchtower
by Elestan » 17 May 2012, 03:22
When a bought card is top-decked with Watchtower, the supply count is not always decremented, particularly when you have another buy.
Saving Kingdoms
by Elestan » 21 May 2012, 12:23
It would be nice if there was a way to save the Kingdom set you just played with, for future reference.
Horn of Plenty
by Elestan » 22 May 2012, 00:23
Plays and Gains from Horn of Plenty do not appear to show up in the game log. Also, when multiple HoPs are autoplayed, it only seems to ask you to gain a card once.
AI: Embargo
by Elestan » 22 May 2012, 00:27
The AI will buy Estates, even when there are three Embargo tokens on the Estate supply.
Also the log appears to have two errors related to this card. When an 2xEmbargoed Estate is bought, the log reads:
Bob buys Curse
Bob buys Curse
Bob buys Estate
It should read:
Bob buys Estate
Bob gains Curse
Bob gains Curse

Too many stacks
by Elestan » 26 May 2012, 17:27
If Colony, Platinum, Potion, and a Bane card (for Young Witch) are all in the same game, the game draws two supply stacks on top of each other.
King's Court
by Elestan » 26 May 2012, 21:07
When you play King's Court, it sometimes seems to give you extra actions. After playing KC/KC/KC/Scheme/Scheme/(Pass), I had 15 actions; I should have only had 6. When I played KC alone and then pass with another action in hand, it shows that I have 3 actions left.
Tournament, Watchtower, and Two Trusty Steeds
by joewtwins » 26 May 2012, 22:32
I had an awesome bug in my last game. I had the Tournament, with a Provence and Watchtower in hand. I played the Tourney with let me select Trusty Steed, then the Watchtower asks if you need to put it on top, I selected yes, then drew it because there was no opponent with a Provence. Then selected 2 Cards, 2 Actions. Then I had a second copy of Trusty Steed. It was even in the end game card count. Thought you might find it interesting.

Sounds like the game doesn't handle the redundant combination of the built-in "Put the prize on top" rule of Tournament with the "Put it on top" effect of Watchtower.joewtwins wrote:I had an awesome bug in my last game. Lighthouse+Vault
by Elestan » 28 May 2012, 19:54
Lighthouse appears to improperly protect from the benign discard-to-draw option provided by Vault.
