What do the numbers in the chart mean?

I was wondering what the constantly changing numbers in the chart at the bottom mean (prayer hands, pig face, book shelf).

They represent the number of cards in your hand/discard/deck

If the prosperity version, you can hover over the numbers to see what they mean
