Custom Decks Online Request

Could someone make a mod to be able to play with modded decks online? I'd really appreciate it.

You already can play with modded decks online, but all players in a match must have the exact same mods. If players don't have the exact same mods then there is no way the game can figure out how all the cards work for all players.

But I want to use my personal deck, and no one has it. What should I do? I used only downloaded cards. Should it work anyway?

Look at it from the perspective of people who don't want to have anything to do with modding: if you could duel them anytime with a modded deck without an agreement, they would see you as a cheater. It seems fair to me that you need to have the exact same deck as the people that you want to play with. Find a friend, send him the modded deck(s), and you'll be able to play with him.

Something tells me multiplayer would be ruined if you could make a custom deck and play online. Even without custom cards you can drop a turn 2 It That Betrays/Mythic Rare/Fat creature with Reanimate or turn 3 Exhume ... And if it were possible to add custom cards you could obviously make a deck that would win in 1-4 turns like 90% of the time.

In an earlier version of the game it actually was possible to have mods that your opponent did not have and it caused lots of problems with cheating online. It was even possible to drop a turn 1 It That Betrays and attack with it that same turn. There is even a video on YouTube where someone dropped a turn 2 It That Betrays for 1 mana (not the person recording the video) and it was not in the graveyard. I don't think any of the modders on this forum was responsible for any cheating, but the cheating itself gave DotP modders a bad name as the cheating was probably done through mods.

In response to all the cheating WotC/Stainless updated the game and made it impossible to play online if all players do not have the exact same wads. This is obviously not a problem for people who play official as Steam keeps the game updated and makes sure that all official wads are the latest version. For people playing mods it makes things more complex as you have to make a friend (or more) and between the two (or more) of you come up with a list of wads that you will all use to play with each other. Granted it does let everyone look through everyone's decks before any match, but by then everyone should have figured out which deck they are each going to use and have a friendly agreement as to how and when the game will start.

If you want to customize a deck so that it will be different from everyone else then make use of unlocks. Make a base deck (which isn't what you want for the final deck) then put the cards you really want in the unlocks, send your custom wad to your friends so they will have the same wad and can play with you online. Sure it will take time to change out the cards in the deck with the cards in the unlocks using the in-game deck manager (each time you start the game unless you get very lucky and your deck configuration saves in your profile), but if you do it right you will be the only one using that specific deck as different people will make different choices about which cards to use and which not to.
