Undefined String Problem
by Salasnet » 09 Apr 2011, 23:28
Greetings,
I'm wondering if somebody could help me out with a problem that I am having with certain cards in the game. Instead of showing the card name, flavor text, etc, it is showing me an error string saying that it is an undefined string.
I have installed the game, and gone through the steps in the Wiki for unlocking all of the cards and decks. I have all of my WADs unpacked, and the original WADs backed up on an external hard drive.
I noticed this problem when I added a "Doom Blade" to a new custom deck that I was creating, but I have noticed it with a few other cards, like "Lightning Helix", and a few others as well.
At first I thought it was because it was a custom deck that I was creating, but I noticed that it was also happening on the unlocked decks that the game comes with, so I realized that the problem was not my custom deck.
After removing any custom decks, and having a look at the XML spreadsheets, etc. I notice that the entries for the Card definition strings are indeed present in the spreadsheet, but they still don't show up on the cards themselves in the game.
I have been troubleshooting this for a few hours, and I am stumped. Any help would be appreciated, if anybody has any insight.
I have attached a screenshot from the DotP deck editor/viewer, so you can see what I mean by the cards not showing the right text and displaying the error on them.

Just an addition note. I do not have ANY custom DLC content installed. Only the content that comes with the game unpacked by the tools.

The latest DLC's from here require official DLC's 1 thru 3 installed, if that helps.
