Just saw RiiakShiNal post about the exe.
I have to point out:
CHARACTERISTIC_WORTHLESS - what the hell is this?
BADGE_UNDYING - but no persist (think will use the same badge)
PutIntoPlayTappedAndAttacking - its there, a lot of important cards can be coded
SetHasCounterType - to use with filter
PaidForWithColour - also great
CanBePlayed - didn't undertood if its to code snapcaster's flashback granting ability, or something else

I just played the Gempalm Incinerator, the Cycling ability works just fine. The card doesn't have a yellow highlight if you can afford the cost to cycle but not the full cost to play the card, nonetheless you can zoom in on the card and activate it just like normal. The "When you cycle" trigger also works nicely.

I just won against Nicol Bolas and unlocked the Revenge campaign. I used the Goblin deck and it has been super-easy. He wiped away the first three Goblins with Pyroclasm, but did nothing for the following ones, so I blew them up on his head after a couple of attacks, with Goblin Grenade and Siege-Gang Commander. I think I finished him before he could play something big.
The second match against Jace (in the second Ravnica scenario) has been funny: I used Liliana's deck and drew Underworld Dreams immediately... Jace slowly suicided himself, draw after draw.

For the CanBePlayed function maybe it is for the AI to determine if the card can be played for things like Iona, Shield of Emeria, Serra Avenger, or Angelic Arbiter? Or maybe it is to allow cards to use it to detect when something is preventing it from being played?
Until someone manages to extract the WADs so we can all look at the files it will just be a guessing game with any and all answers just as good as any others.

Regarding CHARACTERISTIC_WORTHLESS - ironically if this is not used in game then a spare characteristic could end up being very useful indeed!
Hey I was just playing a round of 2HG, and I had two occasions where I declared a blocker and that creature died before the combat damage was dealt. First I block with a Fume Spitter then sacrifice it, and later on my ally blocks but his blocker is killed with a Beast Within before combat resolves. In both cases the attacker's damage got through successfully. I recall in 2012 you could block then immediately lose the creature and still avoid damage, in fact one of the challenges needed you to do it. Has there been a rule change?

With all the new things this can do, I am convinced that we could make Ninjutsu work. A cookie for the first one to do it. 
Also, the first unconfirmed bug report has shown up : Curiosity does not work in conjuction with the Chaos effect (bottom ability) from Stensia in Planechase. [You should still draw a card a card but don't]

I saw someone reporting this on the Steam forums. Unfortunately I only have 1 example in 2013, but it worked right. AI blocked my Goblin Roughrider (0 unlocked cards...) with Jace's Phantasm, then responded with that Instant that drops 2 cards from my library and lets him draw a card. Since that would make my grave hold 10 cards (made an error on the Steam forums. I wasn't sure what my grave size was again, but it obviously was 8, thinking afterwards, or Ember Hauler would've boosted Phantasm. I said 9 there), I responded with Ember Hauler, and killed the Phantasm. Result: Goblin Roughrider dealt 0 damage.
P.s. the creature didn't have trample I presume?

I'm starting to understand sadlyblue's hate for Planechase... maybe I should go on winning in other categories and improve my decks, but I really can't seem to win a single Planechase match! The planes always give bigger advantages to the opponents and not even once I have been able to say "I just had a lucky roll". 
I paid more attention on Stensia and I saw that the gained ability appears in the card text, in blue font. Very nice.
I just saw a ridiculous bug: I bounced back a Timbermaw Larva to Garruk's hand in response to the Larva's triggered ability, then after combat he played the Larva again... guess what? It entered the battlefield pumped, just as if the triggered ability resolved while in hand!

I paid more attention on Stensia and I saw that the gained ability appears in the card text, in blue font. Very nice.

That's very cool. It will be easier to code certain cards (Splinter Twin and Presence of Gond for example). The PutInPlayAttacking is also there, so a lot of others decks will be doable. It's just missing Planeswalker, for what i've seen there's none in the current decks. That's just incomplete coding. They didn't add the trigger to clear the effect if it leaves play. Let's just wait for the wad extractor to start coding new cards/decks and improve existing ones...

I heard there are 5 on-disc DLC decks already of the following guilds: Azorius, Golgari, Izzet, Rakdos and Selesnya. So, the following 5 abilities are likely in the game: Forecast, Dredge, Replicate, Hellbent and Convoke

I was taking a challenge, and Puresteel Paladin metalcraft was activated. Instead of lowering the equip cost, it showed both costs (the normal for the equipment and,in blue, one with 0).
So we will be able to add abilities to cards. I'm thinking Evil Twin and even Havengul Lich.

I read on the Wizards community forums that the reason why there is only one deck with more than one color (the B/W Exalted) is probably because there will be an expansion with the arrival of Return to Ravnica and there will be plenty of multicolor in that. About Havengul Lich (and Experiment Kraj, I'd love a Simic deck with it!), I still have to see how GrantAbility really works... all the examples we know give a specific ability, while we would need to be able to copy any ability from any other permanent in order to code those cards.sadlyblue wrote:I'm thinking Evil Twin and even Havengul Lich.
