Is it possible? Because I think I keep getting banned.

It is possible, but only if the person(s) you are playing with/against have exactly the same mods as you have. If there is any difference in the mods you have and the mods one or more other people in the match have then you won't be able to play that match, effects range from the game telling you that file(s) are corrupt to simply crashing.
