Thank you. I have read that MTG Origins at first will contain 80% of Origins cards and possible future updates of past editions. Somebody could tell me if there will be more editions or the game will be focused only in Origins cards?

My understanding is that as new sets are released, some portion of the cards from that set will be added to MDO.

Yes, the first expansion will be added when Battle for Zendikar is released, and it will contain some cards from the paper expansion. That "80%" actually turned out to be incorrect for Origins because someone did the math and it turns out that we have 61% of Origins in Magic Duels. I haven't checked myself, though. Sometimes it's just a matter of rules which cannot be adapted to Duels: for example, you can be sure that all the cards which add mana to the mana pool in a non-standard way won't be included (we already know that Dark Petition, Gnarlroot Trapper, Pyromancer's Goggles and the "deals 1 damage to you" lands from Origins aren't in Duels).

About past editions, they just said that it's possible, but I wouldn't count on it. We'll probably take care of that ourselves through modding.

The "80%" number was first referenced in an interview by the Examiner with the Magic Global Brand Manager with respect to amount of cards from BFZ that will be in Duels Origins. Actually, she said "70%-80%" & people optimistically maximize it. I haven't counted the AI decks, but I imagine there may be Origins cards that are AI only that could push the total Origins card count to 70%. Regardless, take what Wizards Marketing says with a boulder of salt.

I am a little dissapointed with the cards included in MTO, very few for my taste but at least if deck builder is good It worth paying for It. If MTO costs less than 20€ I will buy it, if not, I will think about it carefully. I suppose that having what It could be... 300 cards maximum being optimistic It would be mandatory to build decks with at least 3 colors to have chances to defeat AI. I am not very good building multicolor decks and also depends on lands included in the game, It will be very challenging!.

It doesn't cost anything, it's free-to-play. You can spend real money to buy coins and speed up the collecting process, that's all.

Ok, I thought that free to play means that you only pay for the game not for the cards included in expansions as I did for DOTP 2015.

Grind isn't bad. You can easily (60-90 minutes) earn 150 gold, enough for a booster pack (3 common, 2 uncommon & 1 rare/mythic). You need about 60 something packs to get all the Origins cards in the Duels game.

I'm downloading it right now, but people are reporting crashes and disconnections from the server. Not a good start, it seems.

Did you expect anything different  . Especially considering the iOS launch...

When I played it the game won't connect with the server. Also I can't seem to find the game data anywhere (the shortcut Steam makes seems to point to something inside Steam). I'm uninstalling the game and downloading ALI213's crack here:

http://bt.ali213.net/show-38283165315ac ... b62ef.html

Chances are this crack will also unlock all the cards for me and will be more friendlier to mod (if we ever find the encryption key to the ZED files... )
