Hi, just downloaded 4.0.1.2 and new features look promising! =D>

But unfortunately all filters seems to be off somehow, here pics of 4.0.0.7 and 4.0.1.2 with same filters applied but different results:

4.0.0.7.png

4.0.1.2.png

Any idea what could be happening? A new feature turn on/off that I am not aware of that's causing my filter not to work properly?

Thanks.

Hi Aidscoi. I cannot reproduce the error from the screenshot with v4.0.1.3.
If you have that version, then I think you have more recent mtgjson.com data than the one I published.

Anyway, delete following directories:

data\index\search
data\index\suggest
data\index\keywords

and restart Mtgdb.Gui

the indexes will be rebuilt and will work correctly

Yes your method is working, so i think we may need to have auto create index files after each time update data json file ? as just restart the app the error still here, it's waste time if people report the same error after update json file from time to time and don't remember to manual delete old index files to gerenate new one.

Hi, as usual, thank you so much for your hard work! =D>

Just two thing, first, there seem to be missing few cards from Ravnica Allegiance like Collision // Colossus, Carnival // Carnage and few other.

Second and most important thing is that it has been happening systematically, maybe related to aidscoi168 issue, when updating to new versions, first launch seems to work just fine after download and install but then I always get a crash to windows when loading the app for the second times and following. Only solution is to completely remove installation folder (rename to something else), uncompress zip of new version, move image folder from previous folder to new one and then launch again the app.

I didn't mention it before because I thought it was just me been a bit dumb and messing with the installation or something, but after aidscoi168 comment, would it be possible to get an "Fresh update (keep images only)" as and update option? I don't care at all about keeping configs or anything like that. I rather have a working app than having to remove/update it manually each time and losing those configs anyway because I have to delete that none working/updated version, not counting the fact that keeping 3 copies of the app seems a waste of space (there is that update .zip, the proper installation folder and that _shadow_copy with the previous version, then there two (one zip and one folder) for each previous update kept), note that I know this should not be any longer a main concern with hdd of 3tb as cheap as they are, but still, in an ssd of 250, it does add up after 10 updates! :D

Thanks again anyway, don't take my last critics as personal, I really appreciate your hard work and mostly enjoy it no matter what! :)

Well, actually not even a clean install solved the problem this time, sending over the log as it seems a problem with filters and how they are reloaded on next startup.

error.log

Let me know if you would like any other info/file to help you out fixing the issue.

Deleting files from Mtgdb.Gui\history\0\ solved my issue, until next startup #-o

Thanks

Thanks for reporting Quimojo, I will look into the logs you sent to fix the problem this weekend.

You and other people taking time to report the craches is really a great help, which I much appreciate.
I keep an installed version of Mtgdb.Gui myself to test if it runs ok after update,
but still, as you can see, sometimes I miss some severe bugs.

UPDATE 2019-03-24:
startup crash fixed in v4.0.1.5
missing RNA cards fixed in v4.0.1.6

Hi, I am afraid we are not there yet :-(

Now the app opens correctly but there is something off about it. Some times, filters won't work, others the app needs a to be click twice on the close windows to actually close. Deck lists don't show up every time. Overall the app is a lot slower than 4.0.0.8. To me, the app seems just off, like there is a couple of things going on in the background that don't quite work well together and when they meet, things goes wrong. Like the moon lines up with the sun and then the app stops behaving properly. By moon, I mean some loose threads checking card lists and by sun I mean Windows most luckily

4.0.1.5.png

Let me know if you need logs or not. Happy to upload them, but I am sure you can see what I mean by playing around with the app, closing, opening it and loading few decks and messing with filters.

Thanks again and happy to report back any time necessary 8) =D>

Hi Quimojo, check if the issues can still be reproduced with v4.0.1.6 which I've just published.
If they do, then yes, I need the log files to investigate.

The logs do help me a lot, because sometimes the problem could depend on such little things like having search result sorted from the previous application start, so it's not allways straightforwardly reprocucible.

Ok, this version seems to work slightly better than previous, less sluggish.

But now I think I've found the cause of why filters and other things stop working. It happens after loading a deck. From that point, it may load in the main deck tab, but everything else stops working.

Here my logs:
