I have found an updated patch 1.0r36 for those who is using THETA version of DOTP 2013. It doesn't need ricks dll for bypassing. I found it on the Chinese site (thanks )

I compared the contents of the old WADs with the contents of the new WADs through CRC comparing, and saved the results on an HTML file. If someone is interested, extract the attachment and open it with any browser.
I'm looking at some of the different cards' XML in detail, and for many of them there's only a small fix in the localised text (for Goblin Goon, for example, they removed the last full stop from the Russian flavour text, I think it was more correct before! ).
EDIT: I have fantastic news: this update fixes the visual bugs for decks with more than 2 colors!

One question about this: does it "reset" files (for instance, remove all the always_avaiable tags, add back the @'s that shuffle cards down the deck on certain difficulties, etcetera), or does it only update the red and blue files in Thefiremind's folder compare?
Probably a stupid question, but I want to be absolutely sure so I don't need to edit everything over (including some edits in the main DATA_CORE).
And now that I'm thinking about it (after I thought I had only 1 question), which of the 3 buttons on the site do I need? The green one? I'm always careful with clicking links, so I'd rather not click a wrong one.

If you made changes to the original WADs I'm afraid you could have problems installing this, since it's a kind of "surgical" patch that needs to find the correct places to edit. I hope you have a backup of the original files... FYI I am running the Skidrow version for mods, I downloaded the Skidrow-labelled update and the file contained the Theta installer inside. It works fine, you just need to remove the directx dll file in the game dir that permitted mods once the patching is complete.

Anyone knows if there's an update now with the DLC? Considering the DLC brought a few extra things you don't have with a non-DLC version with the leaked WADs.

I check everyday, but no luck for now. The only thing I found is the Xbox version of the expansion here. With this, and the previously posted guild decks, the expansion should be complete... but it isn't! Oddly, the revenge decks are missing. Anyway, the cards are all there.

But many changes (fixes) in the other wads are missing, too.
The Expansion offers a new exe (Bugfixing?).
With the expansion there is no more place for custom campaigns.
What i ask myself: Will there be a second expansion with the additional 5 Ravnica Colours this winter? Who knows?!?

Hello, sorry bother you and sorry if a don´t make myself understandable, but I´m not from your country, I´m brazillian, Anyway, I contact you ´cause a couldn´t make the custom deck for Magic Duel of planeswalker 2013.......this was the error that happened
1) first I succeed on made a custom deck, but the game don´t recognize it and don´t appear it on the deck manager
2)Then I try to put the rick.dll on game folder and.........nothing happens, in fact the game pop up a message box saying " failed to hook steam_api"
Could you help me to make the custom deck work properly.

If you are using the Theta update in this topic (1.0r36) or the more recent one (v1.0dc120919), then you don't need Rick's DLL. You could have done something wrong in your own custom deck, I'd suggest you to try with an existing mod first (any of the mods listed here, except for the "Bug Fixes" because you can't see them in the deck manager) and see if it's recognized by the game. TheFiremind, sorry but i did what you tell me, I downloaded a custom deck (Deck_199901to16_v6) that you suggest me and also the Deck_1999_Core_v6, put all in the game directory, started the game and..........nothing.........none of the customs decks appears on it. My copy of Dotp 2013 is SKIDROW, so this needs the Rick dll? And is if does, is just downloaded it and put on game´s folder and we are done or have more to do?

Yes, if you have Skidrow you need Rick's DLL but you don't need to hex-edit the executable.

I already tryed to put the rick dll on game´s directory, but everytime that I do that, the game crash and pop up a message " failed to hook steam_api".......
help me out man, maybe I have brain damage or something , but if you could make a tutorial on where to do Patch memory address 0x0060C630 to B0 01 C3 (original is 55 8B EC) to disable the check or how to use dynamic patcher wrapper DLL because I thought that was simple, but I was terribly wrong

I wouldn't even know where to start if I had to patch memory addresses... it is simple indeed, just put the DLL in the game directory and nothing else. The message "failed to hook steam_api" should appear with theta version which has steam_api renamed to storm_api... are you really sure you have skidrow version? In your game directory do you see steam_api or storm_api?

IN THE GAME FOLDER HAVE IT A STORM_API.DLL AND WHEN A PUT THE RICK DLL DOESN´T WORK AND SHOW UP "FAILED TO HOOK STEAM_API".
