Questions

Postby techninja » 14 Mar 2013, 15:42

In order to unlock all decks/cards and use custom created decks (via the deck manger) do I have to use a "hacked" version of DOTP 2013? Or can I use the Steam version? I haven't been able to find a hacked version that has all parts with working links or isn't password protected.

Also are cards from the older sets playable? Alpha,Beta Revised etc.

You do not need to have a cracked version of the game, decks and cards can be unlocked on the Steam version (For AppId Linking you will use 97330 for the unlock/foil ids):

As for which cards are playable, that depends on what mods you have installed and whether those mods contain those cards. If you have no mods then you can only use the cards that came with the game.

Thanx for your quick reply! Can I use custom made decks and mods with the Steam version?

Are you aware of any mods that include cards from the older sets? THANX!

You can use mods with the Steam version, but you will only be able to use them online if your opponent also has those mods (otherwise there will be sync issues and the game will most likely crash). So in most cases use of mods online generally requires playing with or against someone you know has those mods (setting up games ahead of time, can't just play against any random person).

I can't think of any specifically off the top of my head, but I imagine there is at least one mod that has created Black Lotus or a few other of the older cards:

THANX for your help! Before I buy the Steam version I just want to make sure I understand. Is there anything I can do with a cracked version that I can't do with the Steam version. I'm not concerned with playing online.

Create, store, and switch between multiple profiles can only really be done with the cracked versions, Steam version will create one profile based on your Steam account though that profile can be saved, backed up, deleted, and recreated to simulate multiple profiles. That is about it, everything else we have touched can be done with pretty much all versions in at least one way or another.

Of course, if that's what you intended... but I don't know what else you could need to do on a topic with a list.

You can also number the list by doing
Code: Select all

Step 1

Step 2
1. Step 1
  2. Step 2

Or nest a list like this:
Code: Select all

Option 1

Step 1

Step 2

Option 2
• Option 1
    1. Step 1
    2. Step 2
  • Option 2

And as I illustrated above you can mix types (bullet, numbered).

My idea is something like this Image

i've finished 2 more decks and to post the decks card this could be easier as it takes less topic space

Oh, understood now... but that has nothing to do with a list, you can put anything you want inside that. It's the [ spoiler ] tag.

If you try to quote that post you made a screenshot from, you can see how it's done.
