Help me change the Ramaz deck

So I was bit dissappointed at how terribly weak the boss deck was even or Revenge mode and in Planeswalker difficulty so I edited the deck list with what I feel should be more challenging. However, when I start the match the game automatically defaults it back to its original deck list. How can I fix this so it uses my list order I created? For some reason the available version of it has all the cards I added??


EDIT: Is there a place where the deck order that it loads is saved???

I really don't know, I guess you already tried to delete your profile, right?

This is probably because the first campaign has the duel set up as an encounter with mini_duel_id="30" which relates to ID 30 in the ENCOUNTERS_00.XML file which says it should use save "Encounters\encounter_3.XYL". I imagine if you remove the mini_duel_id attribute from the campaign configuration it will start to use your cards.

I tried looking for it in the data core and I removed "mini_duel" for the boss deck under CAMPAIGN1 in the CAMPAIGN folder and reset my campaing plus removed deck box image. Is this what I am supposed to delete? Or is it else where?

Try removing the bolded attribute:

EDIT: Found it! of course I was too stupid to see it the first time.

EDIT2: That doesn't work either, it breaks the Revenge campaign and you can't play any of the matches.

Well, I guess you could try editing ENCOUNTERS_00.XML instead of the campaign and you could try changing id 30 to 31 so that the game can't find mini_duel_id="30".

Remember that in DotP2013, campaigns were breaking just by editing the official core. You might want to make a copy of the file you want to edit in a custom WAD and leave the official core untouched.

Ahh, I always forget to mention that, when I'm talking about "editing" a file present in one of the official wads what I'm really talking about is making a copy of the file, editing the copy and putting the copy into a mod to override the one in the official wad.

I always make a copy of the entire game and edit just one copy of it. I have already had to replace the core with a copy of the original. I will test this new theory when I get home.

This didn't work either, it made the game crash as soon as it tried to start the Revenge match.

edit: I went back and just removed mini_duel_id="30" (I was not aware that it was both in CAMPAIGN1 and CAMPAIGN2) after doing this the game uses my deck! However now Chandra does not appear with me (just 1v1), go figure.
