Someone please help, whenever i install ANY custom WAD, the game breaks and i can not use ANY Instants or Sorcery like they should be used.

Hello i just started with DOTP 2014. I have a history of creating XML cards with DOTP 2012 and 2013 but with 2014 everything went to !@#$ !!! :p

Ok so heres my problem. I installed the bypasser, i installed the enablers and i installed ALL THE CUSTOM WADS FROM THE BIG NAMES HERE. And i can play the decks. However:

I can not search ANY item in my library anymore. Demonic Tutor doesn't work, Imperial Seal doesnt work, Entomb doesn't work, same goes for Unearth and Doomed Necromancer or anything that lets me search in my graveyard. Vampiric Tutor used to work before i installed anything but now it does the same thing °~° It casts and then goes straight in the graveyard. GRRRRRRRRRRR D:

Bloodthrone Vampire can target EVERYTHING. I can consume lands instead of only creatures.

I think it was Sol RIng that created permanent mana, i was playing with a BEASTLY Demon deck and i could basically spawn a extractor demon on turn 3 because i think sol ring created some mana that was permanent. I also believe Locket of Yesterdays reduced the mana cost regardless of what was in my graveyard.

I can go on, something broke everything :p i am figuring out what caused this. FOr more info on what mods i have installed:

I am going to try and delete all the mods except the enablers and corefixes and see if the vampiric tutor i found in DEADWALKERS works without the rediculous amount of wads installed

That's what I would do: reinstall mods one by one, test the game after each mod is installed, and see when things start to go wrong.

I reinstalled the game without mods and it still didnt work for vampiric tutor


Alright i fixed it on vanilla massive files were corrupt. I am now going to make a small wad with Demonic Tutor, Buried Alive and Entomb, Hope it works


Ok so it doesnt work, as soon as i add a custom mod pack everything breaks and i cant even cast any spells. Hmmmmm i dont know what this is, its weird. I can cast the spells, but only triggered abilities work, instants where u target something breaks. IE Library goes to graveyard and creatures becomes EVERYTHING. dafaq °~°

Nope it all went wrong now. I don´t know why it doesn´t work, but i get to target the graveyard instead of library ??!?!

Hmmmmm well i guess it broke again. T,T

Have you tried to delete your profile after reinstalling?

I have finally fixed it. I had to delete the config file and there was a folder named DATA_DLC_DECK_BUILDER_CUSTOM which caused all the errors. The script logs where as long as the bible whenever i closed the game. Now everything works. This thread can be closed

That's the folder created by Riiak's Deck Builder where you are supposed to put your own cards, so it depends on what you put inside that folder.

Well, that would be a problem as each game can only accept data made for that game, cards from 2010-2013 will not work on 2014 and cards for 2014 will not work on earlier versions. So if you put all that in there then you caused your own problems.

Each version of the game changes several things, the header structure, card XML structure, deck XML structure, what functions/constants are available, what can and can't be overridden, game modes available, etc.... Due to this mods and cards are tuned to a specific version of the game and will not work properly or at all in a different version.
