Mana pool implemented in Magic: Duels

Postby Zambooo » 19 Nov 2015, 20:22

With the latest "Magic: Duels" update (Battle For Zendikar), you can now manually tap lands to produce in facts mana token. I think we start looking at Magic Duels modding more thoroughly.

I wonder if it would be possible to implement the same approach in 2014.

That IS the approach used in 2014. lol It's almost exactly the same as Riiak's Manual Mana mod except that the mana tokens it generates are specially considered by the game to be excluded from counting as permanents and producing them doesn't require all kinds of extra abilities to go on the card.

Exactly. I think this community has provided and implemented ideas they should have included in the first place. Perhaps they look here for suggestions. And because they have the source code they can go back and make things work with the lest hassle possible.

Fair point. They won't, I imagine, but that would be amazing. Although, just for the record, Wizard/Stainless, if you decide to do that, for the love of all that is just in the world, fix the broken mana trigger and allow other costs/effects as well. The mana pool is fantastic, but we've gotten by without an official one. But the costs/effects would make SO much stuff a lot simpler, and the mana trigger is simply not possible for us to properly work around.
