Basically, you can translate any card you want, you need Excel, a browser and a text editor/dreamweaver on your pc.
Open the card you want to translate and look at this line:
Code: Select all
<EXPANSION  metaname = "####"/>
Once you get the expansion number (7777-6666-5555-etc...) go to
Code: Select all
%your magic dir%\DATA_DLC_1111\DATA_ALL_PLATFORMS\DATA_REQUIRED\TEXT_DUELTIME
and open the matching ####_CARD_TEXT.XML with excel (or dreamweaver or a text editor...), find your card and edit the text in it.
If you want to speed up the process you can copy/paste card rules and flavour text from:
Code: Select all
http://magiccards.info/
Beware that sometimes the .xml won't open properly with excel (really dunno why) but seems scalc from openoffice can.

Hope to be of any help.
Bye bye!

I sometimes wonder, why the SVN hasn't any Translators aboard yet.
The main game is available in different languages, it would be fine to do the sam ewith the custom DLCs. Whatcha thinking?
I would offer help for translating the files to French and German.
What's the opinion of the community about making the SVN multilanguage?

I would also offer help for a translation to german.

I've checked a lot cards and there are already working translations added.
So I wonder, where can I see, that a translation is missing? Is there a list on SVN, if so, where is it? Can't find it.
I would really like to give something back, so I thought giving you a helping hand to add the missing descriptions etc. could work.

Thanks everyone. You should all be able to edit the wiki by logging in with the same username and password you do for this forum. Feel free to use it.

If you want to start a topic on translating things you can do that here too.

Keep in mind that very few people are working on this right now. The best way to make something happen is to start doing it!
