OK, maybe it's impossible to fix, but I'd like to hear your opinion.

As I said before, there are 2 badges in the game that are shown wrong:
  • Instead of the generic protection badge, we see the regeneration badge.
  • Instead of the prevention badge (on the creatures, not on the players), we see the protection from white badge.
Looking at the executable from a hex editor, I noticed a thing that can't be a coincidence: starting at 5660B9 (maybe it could vary depending on the version), there's a list of badges...
  • The generic protection badge is immediately before the regeneration badge.
  • The prevention badge is immediately before the protection from white badge.
This seems just a skew: for those badges, the assigned picture is one place further than it should. Yes, but... where is this assignment? Those badges don't have a corresponding integer constant. I'm afraid it's all inside the executable, what do you think?
