Sounds interesting, I'm in. How are you going to implement a different deck having a different amount of life and cards in hand?

I added 'handicap' cards to the limited version. If you put them in your deck, they adjust your starting life and hand size.

I'm interested how it will go, this is the first tournament I won't be participating in. I had enough with the last vintage one and I'm really out of ideas for decks so some time off might do good for my creativity. I wish all of you luck and wait for the results in anticipation.

Ok, the auction starts now. When you make a new bid, please copy/paste bids for every deck, so the next bidder doesn't have to hunt down every deck's bid.

Recap of the rules:

Deck Building:
Bid for which set you want to build a 40-card deck with. You cannot use duplicate cards, unless that set had multiple pictures for that card (Fallen Empires + Antiquities). Then you can use 1 copy for each picture in the original set. You can use unlimited Basic Lands.

Bidding:
I'll list all 8 sets and their current bids (none to start with). Then, if you are not already winning any bid, you can make a lower bid on any set. If you are already bidding on a set, you cannot bid on another set until you are outbid. After 12 hours or so have passed and no new bids are made, the auction is over. If any sets still have no bids, then they are distributed at random among the people without a winning bid.
The maximum bid is 8 cards + 30 life. You can bid down the life and/or starting hand size. Cards trump life, so 7 cards 30 life beats 8 cards 1 life.

I think the auction will go pretty fast, so 1-life increments are fine. Of course, it makes sense to bid in bigger chunks earlier just to get things going.
