Oh i did not know that the schedules collide.
Let me know if anybody needs an extra day or two because of this.

Group D and F are pretty much over. The only interesting group left is Group E.
Retired a long time ago. I will not reply.

@aww
Please re-post your scores at the result topic

@aswan
The easiest solution i could think of would be to backup your "Faces" folder (locked cards get stored in there).
Then remove the .jat files (BACKUP FIRST!!) and play the Challenge (everything should be locked now).
As soon as you have unlocked the new Challenge another .jat file should be created.

Currently re-uploading the vids for Group F. Recorded those games when there was some music playing in the background and OF COURSE youtube flagged those for copyright BS.So i had to edit out the sound and upload the Videos again.

I have asked Huggybaby a while ago if it is possible to implement Youtube embedding.This feature is now available! Thank You :)

Currently uploading the first 2 matches of Group G and the embedding is working fine.Just use the "Youtube" tags with the direct link to your video.
Code: Select all

You can see the result at my recent report for Group G
viewtopic.php?f=66&t=3897&p=53844#p53844
Hope you like it!

This will come in handy for Challenge Guides etc.

Whow you guys are amazing! The first complete reports are already in.Guess i should have made it best of 10 (just kidding).

Unfortunately a lot of Side Event games are missing, so i think we have to "ditch" the current score system for it.
Suggestions are welcome!

---
Got quite a lot of things to do next month, so i most likely won´t be able to host the March Tournament.
There is a list of tournament ideas "Announced". Would be great if we could work something out before the end of the month (format, host etc.).

Ah, I thought I am kicked entirely when I lost the first round, so I didn't give any match reports again, sorry :/

Now, I'll give the report of round 3 to pay my mistake :)

My bad for not explaining it to you. Sorry about that.
Thought we "lost" you to be honest :oops:

Glad you are still around.

Reworked the initial post at the Result topic.Spend some time for this:
The background picture and the colors are horrible, i know.
This was my very first attempt at "tournament brackets" , was just using Open Office and Paint for this to know how to do it.
Going to look a lot better once i use GIMP for this (freeware Photoshop).
This "basic knowledge" is going to get handy in the future.

first try:

Just finished playing Shantak vs Juzamjedi + rematch.
Very intense games. Elixir of Immortality really helped Juzamjedi a lot those games. As soon as Gravetitan hit the play it was just game over. Some very intense games.
I´ll update the report once everything is uploaded.

Looks like it is already clear who wins this :

I finished my last 2 matches (still uploading). Here are the updated results.
Unless some more reports come in: Juzamjedi is the CLEAR winner of this. 240sxforever and Shantak are no longer able to finish first.Shantak could theoretically catch up, but it is not very likely to happen (considering the given reports).

Shantak got a comfortable lead over 240sxforever so i would be really surprised if the results would change.
Anyway, tomorrow the tourney ends - please finish the remaining reports.

Round 3 | Open
Group G
180 points total (6 reports *30)
180 points reached (49 +34 +67 )

Shantak -> 57 points
sal 8 / sha 12/ juz 8/ jat 10/ alx 6
asw 13/ 240 (miss)/

240sxforever -> 39 points
sal 5 / sha 4/ juz 9/ jat 8/ alx 11
asw 2/ 240 (miss)/

juzamjedi -> 84 points
sal 17 / sha 14/ juz 13/ jat 12/ alx 13
asw 15/ 240 (miss)/

Well no further reports came in so the tournament is over.

Juzamjedi got 1st (84pts.)
Shantak got 2nd (57 pts.)
240sxforever got 3rd (39 pts.)

Congratulations to the finalists!

Thanks to everybody who participated and especially for the fast reports.
Unfortunately the Side Event did not really work out (my fault, score system was too whacky), but the Main Tournament was a success in my eyes.

Please let me know what you think about this Tournament. (Point system, format , suggestions etc.)

Thanks for organizing the tournament, Salbei. It was a huge success, I think. Everything went very smoothly.

Point system and format worked out real fine. The groups were divided nicely and I think we did figure out the best deck without a question.

Nice to see my discard build did so well, but it couldn't handle big black threats like Grave Titans, and with Juzamjedi's big life total he got to cast them almost every time. I think one of the things I was counting for while building the deck was that most of players would have ~15 life, meaning that quick aggro tactics could work very well. I'm impressed Juzamjedi could buy full 20 life and still build such an effective deck.

I'll be away for the two first weeks of March, so if someone organizes a tournament then, I won't be participating (except playing later rounds maybe).

I liked the tournament idea and am only sorry that I didn't put more effort into deck building. The side event was a nice idea but really confusing.
