XMage - very big client log file size
by LevelX » 10 Mar 2015, 08:42
Since the last update to XMage 1.3 2015-02-07v7 there seems to be a problem with the configuration of the event logging. There are unintended logged all kind of UI/Java events to the logfile of the client.
You can find the file in your XMage folder with the following path and name:
Consider to delete the logfile before you start/restart the XMage client to free the allocated disc space.
The logfile will be recreated as you start XMage client and you have to repeat this process as the file size growth again.
I'm looking into this problem and will fix it with the next update.

Quick temporary fix:
With xMage not running, delete the mageclient.log file and create a folder in the same location named "mageclient.log". xMage will try to open that folder as if it was a file and will spit out an error. It will still run correctly though.

Just as an FYI, the problem persists in version 1.4.8v1.
