Xmage Screen Tearing.
by Tokoloshy » 04 Apr 2018, 09:51
I have aproblem that I saw many people has had a couple of years ago, but I cant seem
to find any sort of solution online. I am posting this in the hopes that someone might have come across this same situation and found the cause of the problem.
Whenever I enter a game on Xmage I get severe screan tearing. To a point where the
game is unplayable. Refreshing the screen does not help. See Image.
What I have tried...
1: Completely removing all Xmage files from my PC's (I get this issue at home and at
work) and reinstalling a fresh copy of Xmage 1.4.28V1.
2: Downloading and replacing java 1.8.0_31 with a newer version and redirecting the
Xmage properties file.
3: Downloading and installing the latest version of GPU drivers.
4: Reverting back to old version of GPU drivers of when Xmage was still working.
5: Changing resolutions Higher/Lower.
As mentioned in step 1 I am experiencing this issue on both my personal PC at home
and my work PC. I have included the basic setup of each machine below.
At Work:
Windows 10 Pro x64
Intel Core I5 2nd Gen
Nvidia GeForce GTX 560Ti
6G RAM
Single Display
At Home:
Windows 10 Pro x64
Intel Core I7 2nd Gen
AMD RX480
8G RAM
Dual Display
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
